Why is is "strange"?

Well why send a presenter based in Glasgow down to Manchester to do a show which could be done from Glasgow.

Going by Knoxy's twitter it looks like she is on a work trip, so, as the studios can originate networked programming it was probably easier and more cost effective to let her broadcast from there than get a cover in.

Indeed she is.


It isn't the first time and won't be the last time that a presenter hasn't done their show from the "home" studio.

Did you think they just shunt people off to do shows in other cities just for the heck of it?

What I meant was Clyde has the capabilities to do network shows e.g Boogie and Dingo came from there when it was on in Scotland and Englamd and Fat's overnight show comes from there and airs across the network.

I have enjoyed Top 10@10 day. It is always a good listen on bank holiday Monday

I guess from what I am reading, that a Top 10 from say 1992, might have play listed tracks, but also some not heard that for a while song.
That is annoying with other networks, play a mystery year format but most of the tracks are playlist material no, wow songs, not heard for a while.

Lovely idea. Just give it an appropriate name. Top 10 at least 10 works twice a day. Not for the whole bloody day but what do i know. They can keep the dogs dinner style production going and keep the listeners flooding away.

Top ten at ten all day Is great, and not moaning about heart but at least with these you do actually hear some rare tracks not played very often, for me I have guess the year obsessive disorder, so I'm in my element when they do these on bank holiday, well I think it's twice they've done it now, I'm working the next one so hopefully they will do it again, will make working in the warehouse day go a lot quicker.

They did them last year as well

Jamie Lee is replacing Will Manning on City 3 The Hits' weekend breakfast.

Lee's tweet announcing it is as follows:

Also, Ian Longo now has two shows a week. Thursdays 22:00-00:00, replacing Fat with the other two hours replaced by automation and Saturdays 20:00-22:00, replacing automation this time.

Greigsy is in all week for George Bowie on Clyde 1 next week with Gina McKie covering for Greigsy from 10 - 2.

Also not sure if Fiona Shields has left Bauer but Ryan Brothwick has been covering her 10pm - 1am show for a few weeks now and Gina has covered her Sunday Afternoon Clyde 1 show for the last 2 weeks

Has any for the Bauer place 1 stations had any technical problems recently such as dead air not opting out of the network or adverts crashing into songs etc.

There is a 4 hour superscore board on Clyde 1 tonight, so I take it that is due to Rangers playing Dumbarton and could win the title tonight. Also celtic are playing as well.

I did notice that all trace of Fiona has been removed from the web site, strange as she seemed to be a rising star with the big promotion from West Sound.

Yeah she was brilliant on West FM much better than Michael Smith who replaced her. But her name has disappeared with Ryan now being listed on the website but it doesnt look like Ryan is taking over permanently at the moment.

If Fiona doesnt return I would think the late show could go to Ryan or Lynne Hoggan from Tay fm

Ryan's Twitter bio says host of the Late Show across Scotland Sunday - Friday, so he's taken over from Fiona permanently. Strange she's just disappeared.

And what makes you think that?

Well the last time I checked Ryan's twitter it didnt say he was doing Sunday - Friday lates but now it does so thats why I thought that.

I take it he wont be on Radio Borders as much now.

Not strange at all. People leave radio stations all the time, all mention of them is wiped from the websites etc. It's the way things go with most groups these days.

I meant that its strange as she seemed to be an up and coming name at the network. Moving from West Fm which is a relatively small station to a network show across Scotland and Sunday Afternoons on Clyde 1.
