It also affected Free Radio until about 16:50. I turned over to Signal 107 and the Big Top 40 was playing out with no problems and I switched back to Free Radio and that had been fixed. First link that was broadcast seemed to suggest that they weren't aware of any problem or they wouldn't have mentioned it but I think as it affected so many different stations it must have been a problem on Global's end.
Did the stations run the emergency tape?

Where does Darren Proctor do his GHN show from, Rick Horton on City2 breakfast said he was wearing sandles with socks this morning, but didn't think that show was networked from the tower.

The radio today article from months ago said he would be based in Liverpool.

Was that not when Radio City 2 launched at the end of 2015 and Darren's show was only on Radio City. Then in January his show started going out across England

This morning he said up next is DP ready and primed in the studio next door.

So is Rick Horton covering breakfast from Manchester for some strange reason, he deffo does his usual Drive show from the tower, or is DP in Liverpool. Or more likely is it just radio lies.

Darren's show comes from Manchester because he does the 2 O'Clock Anthems on the City 1 network straight after Bauer City 2 show

While I'm sure they can address the network from Liverpool (and, incidentally, have used those studios to address Cool FM in Newtownards last year), this is backed up by the Public file for the station, so it certainly does appear to be the case that he is in Mancs…

http://www.radiocity2.co.uk/public-file/

The amount of local programming per day produced by the station:

All weekday programming between 6 - 10am; 2 - 7pm and 10 – 1am is produced and presented at our studios Liverpool. All other weekday shows are produced at Key 2 in Manchester.

At weekends, local programming is produced from Liverpool between 10am & 2pm on Saturday and 9am & 1pm on Sunday. All other weekend programming comes from Key 2 in Manchester with the with the exception of the following:

Sat & Sun 1am – 6am and Sunday 7pm – 10pm comes from Clyde 2 in Glasgow.
Sunday 4pm– 7pm broadcast from our London studio’s at 1 Golden Square.

On Clyde 1 Grant Thomson and Travel presenter Amber are jumping off the Titan Crane. George Bowie has been kidnapped and locked in a cupboard and wont be released till they make a £1000 and is listening to Michael Buble on a loop. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCiC...Z6zgEKJAIn5FQg

On West FM the presenters are going about the area in a big truck.

I maintain I read an article that said Darren Proctor would be based in the tower for his network show but it was back in January so can't find a link.

That was on Radio Today, but the initial article predated it being anounced it was going to be networked.

There is a very easy way to solve this issue, take a tour of Radio City during the broadcast times. Book your tickets here.

If they are in a different building (and I don't know, or really care) I wouldn't put it past them staging the off mic back of the studio "hello" just to cause a bit of commotion in this thread.

No superscoreboard today as Celtic are playing on Sunday so Gina Mckie is on Clyde 1 this afternoon. It will be interesting to see who will be on during the summer when Superscoreboard is off as Gina does Sat or Sun depending on which day SSB is on. I have a feeling Gina will continue on Sunday with possibly young Fat getting the Saturday slot. Will be nice for him to be heard by more people

But she wasnt doing Sundays then Fiona Shields was. I cant see her doing Mon - Fri on the AM stations and Sat and Sun on Clyde 1. But I agree she is on of the best presenters on Bauer's books

Maybe bring Suzie McGuire back for it. Doesn't look like she'll be doing anything else until panto season.

Noticed today that Ewen and Cat had a new set of Jingles for their show. I thought it was just the breakfast shows that had these show specific jingles
