At least that would keep your post on topic as it would lead to a " change at Bauer".”

Well Radiogram I think you will find it was a change at Bauer as Mike was covering for Ryan who usually presents the late show.

60% of the posts on this thread could be described fairly as off topic.

But there not that bothered about it as the DJ promoted his Twitter for people to guess via which is free and the phone number I don't think has a charge

03 numbers are charged at the same rate as 01 and 02, whereas the old 0845 could have raised revenue at one point. These types of numbers were introduced as 0845, 0870 etc were being used for costly customer service lines.

Incidentally, Clyde in the SRH days used to use an 0800 number

P.S. Not sure if the text number is revenue raising anymore, the PhonepayPlus website suggests it is zero rated, which would just result in the network's standard rate being charged AFAIK (it did, however, certainly used to be 25p plus network rate), however, it does appear that this is dynamic, as they also use that number for the £1.50 competitions, i.e. 2k day. If someone was so inclined, they could ask the operator for more information.

So that could cover June one year to June the next year.

2 years ago I was sat in a Bauer Scotland studio with my mate, who was a swing jock at the time. (He no longer is as a real job came along and he hasn't looked back)

In the seat I was sat at was a computer logged into their text system. And you can view all the text inboxes for all the stations on it. (the keyword thing was just a way of filtering it). But it was all there to see.

I was amazed how FEW messages the stations got. Even the big boys like Clyde. And you could go back to previous days and look. It was NEXT TO NOTHING.

When there was a competition on it would get entries, but day to day stuff, shoutouts, guesses on the mystery year, things that had no prize attached, was like tumbleweed.

Is everyone using social media now to interact with stations?
Has the 25p put people off? In which case what's the point, it may as well make it free to at least get some interaction?
OR is no one interacting with radio stations anymore? (the phone lines were also very dead - and this was middle of a normal working week mid morning)

You try hard to get some sleep Radiogram. Is there a Mrs or Mr Radiogram, if so get him or her to make u an Ovaltine. I wouldnt want you lagging and your patter not be up to the usual standard we all know and love.

I will try my best to find out the winners tomorrow don't you worry.

I will also try and find out what other DJ's are getting time off as the changes in England haven't been published online yet.

I texted in today and it cost me 10p. Clyde seems to get quite a few callers during the 10 -2 from builders and other people with guessing the year or interacting with Greigsys telling stories etc

They may also need time to get fitted for denim and leather to fit in with the new Rock imaging.

Presumably if you have to post the winners of the Great Bauer Staff Piss Up 2016 then you will be creating a new thread so not to be off topic here?

That'll be one text message at network rate then - but again, if one wished to check current charges contact the provider or ask Bauer Do let us know the results

There's something particularly nasty about people calling for someone to be fired for something where the mistake isn't malicious or horrible.

I know people always use that terminology but they don't think of the consequences of someone losing their job.

This isn't a go at this individual post or poster - it's just the latest use I've noticed.

Just to clarify I was joking. The post was a rather tongue in cheek dig at the poster thinking this was an issue worth moaning about.

Being involved in radio myself I'd hardly be calling for someone's head in response to a slip of the tongue that no one except a certain poster noticed.

I quite clearly read it as a joke.
