There is still no news on what is happening with West fm as Currently since Colin left the line up has usually been
6am The West FM Breakfast show with Alan Shaw (home run presenter) and Zoe Kelly
10am Fraser Thomson
2pm " o clock anthems
3pm Billy Reid from westsound Dumfries

But next week Alan and Billy must be on there holidays as Fraser Thomson is doing the breakfast show will be interesting to see how he does as he is an excellent presenter. Gavin Pearson is doing 10-2 and Jodie McCluskey from MFR is doing the home run still nothing stable at west fm at the minute.

Could there be a possibility this could be the new daytime line up? With maybe Alan Shaw coming back from holiday to do 10-2 as Gavin is usually only cover. Fraser does seem like a good option for breakfast, and Jodie seems to be highly rated at MFR so it wouldn't surprise me.

[quote=Dan_LFC; It would also be more desirable to have slightly more local output at weekends. This would enable each station to have a show which would suit their local audience. On Monday's-Thursday's/Sunday's each station could have a daily late show with the option for special shows on Friday's/Saturday's nights such as output not dissimilar to that Radio City used to offer or FreeJack's club classics on Rock FM.

That would be nice

I cant see Jodie moving from MFR she will probably be doing the home run from a studio in Inverness next week.

I think Fraser's future with Bauer will depend on wether Clyde Rocks gets the go ahead as I think Fraser will get a slot there if they win the licence.

As you say I think Gavin will just be cover will be interesting to see if he does it from Glasgow or Ayr next week.

Fair play to Key 103 for doing that, thats what Local Radio is for, Global would not do such thing other then a split link.

Yep. That is it. An experienced presenter of several years hasn't a clue how to 'drive' the desk. Maybe stuck in neutral.

Once in a while I miss the feel that a radio station was sort of local.
Yes I know Forth 1 and the likes of Clyde 1 and other Radio City stations are still local during the day.
I don't really listen to Forth 1 anymore unless someone has it on.
I do still listen to Forth 2 but sadly not as much as I used to.
Office at work has changed the DAB station in the last month or two from Forth 1 to Magic and I have to say Magic seems an ok station.
When I'm in the house 60% of my radio listening is now Kingdom FM as that still has a local radio feel to the station as well as playing a good mix of pop music. Old as well as new.

Cat Harvey was back on breakfast on Friday with Boogie on Forth 1 as Arlene was off. Im surprised that after a year Cat hasnt got a permanent slot on a bauer station.
