Big top 40 sounds like it's coming from underwater on Bauer's City 1 network this evening. Local ID's are firing as usual, it's obviously a problem with the IRN 3 feed at Key 103.
UPDATE: 16:27 - back to normal now as far as I can see. |

You can't really blame Stu for leaving, he left Metro/TFM drive for Aire breakfast which was a good challenge for him, but then with it all ending so suddenly and him moving to drive at Aire, it was a backwards move from a drive show on a much bigger station to one with the listening figures at Aire.
Carl's a decent presenter, and I'm sure Stu will get a good job soon, maybe even back at Metro/TFM. |

The Saturday GBX show on Clyde 1 must get some amount of callers as they have given up on the traditional studio phone number due to it craahing and they have set up an 03 number for the show

I don't really listen to the likes of Forth One much anymore and its been that way for a good while now.
I do still listen to the Greatest Hits Network(Forth 2) but even then I don't listen to it as much as I did a year or two ago. Office at work changed there DAB radio from Forth One to Magic a good few months ago and I have to say Magic seems an ok station. Darren |

I listen to Boogie every weekend on the network show and I think Arlene and him would be a great breakfast show to wake up to and travel to work too. Forth also seem to give Grant Stott a lot of lee way so he can do panto etc he is only on 3 hours each day for the next few weeks. The greatest hits is a good listen but the songs are on quick rotation but its been better since the local daytime show was reintroduced. Magic is a good station very easy to listen too. |

The difficulty for CHR stations is the huge gap between what's in the chart and the mainstream these days. Quite simply, your average member of the public is going to be more attracted to favourites from the 90s and 00s, and that side of things is covered in most cities by Heart and Magic these days. Meanwhile, from the other side, if anyone's that into current music they're more likely to listen to Capital.
Bauer is getting squeezed from both directions and only its strong heritage identity and Scottishness saves it in Scotland. In England the game seems to be lost. You wonder quite how long it'll be until they go for a big name rebrand like Magic. |

I take it Forth 1 is like Clyde 1 in that it is very popular with most fm listeners.

'Local' is how it was on AM pre-2009. |

To be fair to city, they have done a good job with city 2. Tend to listen more in the evening on my drive home. Still prefer 96.7 at breakfast, although if the duo are off I tend to listen to rossie.
