Radio City breakfast is increadibly week, I suppose it appeals to middle aged women though but after the likes of Tony Snell and Kev Seed its absolute crap. Bit like the station I suppose.

Agree they need to get rid of Dave Kelly and his co host. His floorfiller show is so camp and cheesey, either bring Lee Butler back, or get a better host to do the floorfiller show.

Technically Dave is the co host and Leanne is the main presenter.

Technically who is the lead poster of our comedy duo in this DS thread here? STV Viewer or Declan?

Floorfillers went wrong on Radio City earlier at 19.25 ads failed, back up tape kicked in for 2 seconds followed by more silence then a different back up tape kicked in till 19.35 when the show returned a Key 103 id was heard, until it was all sorted by 19.55 ive recorded it anyway. There technical probs are worst than Global,s but i love it when it all goes to pot.

The problem Bauer have as it stands is that they've got DJs and presenters who appeal to an ageing audience, but a CHR playlist which is going to skew younger.
Current pop music is no longer the music get involved selling millions of records activity it used to be, with Top of the Pops bringing this stuff to multiple generations. Nowadays, if you're not interested you can disappear off to Heart, Smooth, Magic or a younger-skewed Radio 2. And if you're really interested you'll be listening to Radio 1 and Capital. And growing up you'll probably stick with them (which is causing a few problems for Radio 1, but that's a whole other story). I fear the fortunes of Bauer's stations are similar to Labour on the Brexit/Scottish independence question - falling awkwardly between two stools and not really pleasing anyone. North of the border, screaming Scottishness is helping, but emphasising local identity in England doesn't seem to have much effect. (possibly not helped by the fact each station sounds identical - at least in Scotland everything coming from the country of origin is a selling point). |

The Scottish stations are helped by lack of competition outside the central Belt but the English stations need to be run competetly differently. |

Your right in the past older presenters would have been moved over to the AM stations now there being kept on the FM for longer. With some being in the same slot for way longer than in the past they would have been e.g Mike Toolan - key 103, Big John - Hallam, Bowie - Clyde 1 and Boogie - Forth 1. The 4 have been on breakfast over 10 years but some are still successful Bowie and Boogie are at the top of their game in Scotland and both have weekly network shows. Big john isnt doing too bad but Mike is struggling.

No different to them running ads for Bauer magazines. |

I've been passing posters all day in Glasgow for that gig and had wondered how Bauer stations would deal with it. It's not idea - Capital stations at least get to do the Jingle Bell Ball under their own name, albeit it's in London.

In demand live worked better as it was a brand and every station could promote it.
