Your assumption about them "struggling for cover" was incorrect.

Sorry I wasnt really thinking when I posted that Bauer will never struggle for Cover as they have a huge number of presenters.

Caught some of that on Saturday morning, not a great listen i have to admit!

I live in the Metro radio area and used to listen to Stu Elmore on drivetime. He is a great drive presenter, however, hearing him cover breakfast here a few times with Kelly they are not the best. The best breakfast show is Steve and Karen on Metro without a doubt!

It just felt a bit like the over-polished networked rubbish that Real Radio flooded it's network with in it's dying days, not a great listen at all

I quite like Dan Moylan on Metro drive time. That other kid they had on in between was terrible. Think his name is Johnny or something. He sounded like a tin pot student radio presenter, not a drive time presenter on a leading radio station.

Brian Moore would be better on drivetime and move Dan to mid mornings. Brian is superb as are Steve and Karen. Quite like Chris Felton too- love his geordie twang!

Can someone (possibly Radiogram) explain how the playlist on MFR FM works as I have been listening on the Radioplayer and have just heard 2 top ten @ 10 back to back - toca's Miracle and Eternal Flame by Bangles - great song.
It seems quite similar to the heart playlist with classics and new songs

Greigsy is doing a bit of cover on Clyde 1 over the next week or so.

Today Greigsy was covering for Knoxy on her 10am - 2pm show as she is away on the Bowie on the boat trip to Amsterdam.

Also next week Greigsy is covering breakfast on Clyde 1 for George Bowie. This is a change to the usual cover which is Grant Thomson. Also Grant is doing both weekend breakfast shows this weekend on the Scottish Stations due to Knoxy being away.

Not sure yet if Greigsy is doing the evening show as well or if someone is covering for him

The changes on Bauer Scotland next week from Monday to Thursday is that Fiona Shields will be covering for Greigsy on The Evening Show and Gavin Pearson will be covering for Fiona. Also according to the show description on the schedule there will be a late night top 10@10 next week.

Also according to the schedule Grant Thomson's Old Skool and Anthems is getting renamed 2 O'clock anthems.

Too exciting for words. Bauer certainly know how to keep you on your toes.

Also, what i'm hearing, is that John Leslie will be covering Tuesday 0827 - 0842 so that GB can go for a shit if his curry the night before is a wee bit off.

Radio City are now playing '2 o'clock Anthems'

So the name has been changed across the network.

Also I just tuned in and True Blue by Madonna was playing. I dont tend to listen to Old Skool and Anthems often but is that usually the sort of songs played

EDIT: 14.36 - Adele - set fire to the rain was just on and Cornershop – Brimful Of Asha is on now. 2 O clock anthems seems more like heart's happy hour with a wide variety of songs.

No, but i think that's part of the change, the narrow (UK wide nae doubt!) playlist was killing the OSA hour, this broadens the scope to anthems in general, not just dance anthems

Grant thomson is on Forth 1 today not sure if that is just today or all week.

I take it that show will be coming from clyde's studios in Glasgow

This week on forth 1 there is some changes to the schedule as Gregor Runciman from Radio Borders mid mornings covers for Mark Martin's homerun all week.

Will Gregor do this show from radio Borders or travel to Edinburgh.

Also last week I felt greigsy did a great Job on Clyde 1 standing in for George Bowie it is the first time in ages that I have made a point of listening to Clyde at breakfast

Greigsy must now be first choice cover presenter for Clyde 1 as from Next Thursday he is covering the Home run and 2 o clock anthems for Grant Thomson and Fiona Shields is covering Greigsy's show from 7pm with Mike Richardson covering for Fiona at 10pm.

But the question is why dont Clyde use another presenter to cover for Grant rather than disturbing the whole evening output in the past Stuart Webster from tay fm has covered for Grant

Another week and Greigsy is back on covering 2 O'Clock Anthems and Clyde 1's home run till Wednesday when Grant Thomson returns from his break. Till then Fiona Shield's is covering the evening show from 7pm and Gavin Pearson is covering for Fiona from 10pm.

But in my opinion to cause as little disruption as possible I would have had Gavin covering for Grant rather than changing the whole line up from 7pm but maybe it wasnt possible
