New Bauer radio appointments at Tay and Forth

http://radiotoday.co.uk/2015/11/new-...tay-and-forth/

Phil Manzor and Michael MacRae*have become content controllers at Tay fm and Forth 1 respectively.

Phil was previously Forth 1 content producer.

Michael is currently home run presenter on MFR and producer for Ewen and Cat on a Sunday Morning. So there will be a new presenter coming to MFR soon

A few line up changes this weekend in England as Tim Cocker was covering for Stu and Kelly on the Saturday breakfast show as Stu and Kelly are covering for Paddy McGuinness tomorrow.

It also seems that Tim Cocker covered for Paddy last Sunday (22nd). There seems to be less big names covering for him as he used to get Olly Murs or Alesha Dixon to cover. But I take it Bauer just want presenters from their stations to cover now.

Can someone (possibly Radiogram) explain how the playlist on MFR FM works as I have been listening on the Radioplayer and have just heard 2 top ten @ 10 back to back - toca's Miracle and Eternal Flame by Bangles - great song.
It seems quite similar to the heart playlist with classics and new songs
But Heart is unavailable on FM in the Highlands thank goodness.

But why isn`t MFR FM called MFR 1?

It seems rather silly that the frequency and/or wavelength is used as part of a station`s name when it`s on DAB and/or streaming online as well.

With Rossie and Darren Proctor moving from Radio City and Key 103 respectively to Radio City 2, it seems that Lee Butler will be doing the 10am - 2pm show on Radio City for the time being. Key 103 has ex Xfm Manchester presenter Tim Cocker doing the 10am - 2pm show.

Also it seems that Darren Proctor is taking over the 2 O'clock anthems from Debbie Mac from next week across the Bauer City 1 network in England, as her home run show will now run 3-7

I see bauer Scotland have introduced a Sunday night late show from Scotland rather than the Tony Shephard late show which is on in England all week.

Tim Cocker's a good presenter, will be good on Key, if only for the time being until they get a permanent presenter.

Darren has taken over 2 O'Clock Anthems today.

So its Bob Malcolms turn to cover Gina`s show.
Be his first to be networked in England and Scotland.

While John Leslie is suspended and Gina is covering his show, Why cant they have a regular dj covering Gina like Craig Kelly or Bob Malcolm instead of different djs all the time.

Also, whats up with Ray Rose ? is he on holiday or off ill ?

At first it seemed to be Paul Hayes but he is now on Radio city 2 home run till the new year.

But I bet Bob is happy I am sure he never saw this coming when he finished Forth 2 breakfast

Yeah good Bob getting extra shows and be good if he got permanent slot or the slot till Gina goes back if the outcome with JL is cleared.
Pity tho Jim Symon lost the slot in first place (hello GO ?)
Read that Ray Rose may have left ? That's a surprise, thought he was enjoying his show.

It would be good to see Bob get a regular show, he is more engaging than Darren Kelly. I'd like to hear Riddy more than three hours a week also.

The Radio City 2 website says Gina McKie 7pm - 10pm, so if Ray has left then Gina could take over that show, but I think that will depend on the outcome of JL as I think Gina could get that slot if JL doesnt come back.

But at the moment we are just guessing Ray could be back

If Clyde 2 gets the xfm scotland frequency then there is every chance Bob and Riddy could have slots

I like Bob and would like him to have more radio work.
Used to listen to him when he was on Forth 2 in the evenings. Then listened to him at times while getting ready for work in the mornings.
Good to have him back even if its only temporary.

He has covered for Ally Bally on the home run as well.

In my opinion he is better than Ally Bally. I am actually surprised that Ally has survived all the changes to the Bauer Scotland AM stations

I listened to a bit of Bob Malcolm last night and someone was asking him where Gina went and he said she's on in the afternoon for a while and he said he was covering for her for the next few weeks till after the new year,....so I guess John Leslie isn't going to be on in a hurry if he comes back at all? And I'm glad they've got Tom Davies on instead of Paul Hayes now, much much better - I didn't like it when he used to cover for Nick Wright's show, wonder why he doesn't invite any listener interaction, when other cover presenters always do?

So by the sounds of that till the new year the line up on the City 2 stations will be

6am Breakfast
10am Darren Kelly
1pm Gina McKie
4pm Home Run
7pm Tom Davies
10pm Bob Malcolm

Paul Hayes is doing the home run on Radio City 2 in Liverpool till the new year

Ally is the boss of the Scottish AM network isn't he?
And probably salaried. So very difficult to get rid of.

Not sure Ally still has any position of authority these days? I am happy to be corrected on that one though.
