How angry red will Phil go when he visits Max to convince him to plead guilty only to learn that Marcus is Max's new solicitor/Brief.

Did Marcus and Phil share a scene last time?

I find it hilarious when Phil turns bright red when he's angry!
Hopefully, Max is found to be innocent but it's not looking likely at the moment

It's strange that Phil never kicked the crap out of Marcus when he met him last year. Ah what could have been.

I think the only time last year Phil spoke with Marcus was when Phil spotted Marcus in the Albert and forced him to reveal what Sharon was planning. Earlier that day Sharon had decided not to go ahead with her plan but Marcus was scared and revealed that Sharon was planning to take his money (not sure why he didn't mention that Sharon changed her mind).

I'm surprised Marcus is going to help Max considering he's terrified of Phil now and knows that he will be angry.

I'm convinced that one day he will just turn into a massive, angry killer tomato.

Apologies in advance but could someone please enlighten me regarding the background between Phil and Marcus? I only know him because I saw him scheming with Sharon last year but I have no idea what had happened prior to that ( I probably didn't watch EE at the time)

After Den Watts had set Phil up for armed robbery (forcing him to go into hiding), he blackmailed Marcus into betraying the Mitchells. We don't know what the blackmail was about, but it was suggested to be sexual.

Marcus then lied to Sam Mitchell that he was in contact with Phil and told her she desperately needed to get money to him. Sam sold the Vic to Den and the Arches to Ian, both at well below the market value. She then handed a big briefcase of cash to Marcus, who rode off into the sunset. He wasn't seen again until recently.

This supposedly left the Mitchells penniless. Yet Phil somehow had a fortune again when he returned. Using the "Monopoly money" rules of EastEnders, I can only conclude that he used the "Get out of jail free" card and won first prize in a beauty contest.

Phil doesn't care what happens to his money these days, Mrs Doyle burnt some an he didn't blink an eye. He even signed over a business to Vincent just for the hell of it.

I like Marcus but last year's story did the character no justice.

The way he casually hung out in The Albert when Phil could've walked in at any moment was ludicrous. As was Phil not kicking the crap out of him when they finally came face to face.

A missed opportunity like the reveal that Phil was responsible for Dennis's death.

The Bank of Philth is yet another ludicrous aspect of the Pantomime King that gets right on my nerves.

How many times do we see him casually dole out absolutely massive wedges of cash?

Perhaps the Greeks should ask him to bail them out?

Yawn.
