Another thing they have to work around. I mean Kathy has been back in the country a while now. Surely she would of seen the papers of Max's arrest? But if she does know she can hardly play the grieving grandmother. She's pretended to be dead for nearly a decade and has missed years of Lucy's life.

Just wondering, how old was Lucy when Kathy left? Also (eventhough Lucy and Peter were young) did Kathy share many scenes with them e.g. to babysit?

It must be a shock knowing that someone she loved and only knew as a small child grew up to be 20 and murdered (but not as shocking as Ian/Ben finding out Kathy is alive)!

Kathy was very much a hands on grandma in the 90s she was forever babysitting the kids. For a period of time Kathy was essentially their mother figure as Cindy was never there, she was more interested in conducting her year long affair with David Wicks.

The twins would have been 5 when Kathy moved to South Africa but they continued to visit her there occasionally. They were then 12 when she 'died'.

Maybe she cannot get newspapers delivered to Gavin's cellar?

He hasn't on screen has he? The show are deluding themselves if they expect the audience to think Kathy hasn't seen the news. She'd know for sure.

Your deluding yourself if you think it's not realistic that she hasn't seen the news or papers, I watch TV but not the news and hardly ever see news papers to pay attention to them and that could be the case with Kathy. Just coz you think it's not drastic don't mean to say it's not.
