I think the return of Kathy is going to be a big one for him - he needs to get this right and for it too work.

Hmm, probably about 55/60% bad. There's been quite a lot of good stuff but a load of crap too. The Lucy story is his biggest storyline so far and I have a lot of issues with it, despite a few bits being great.

He's not the Messiah. He's a very naughty boy.

He made a great start but has over complicated plots, is obsessed with secrets and has/is wasted/wasting some good characters. There is nothing to look forward to, unless you count Kathy (which I don't).

TBH I hate the block story telling.

We ain't had many stand out moments or big stories apart from the Live shows and Who killed Lucy.

Other characters need more to do.

He got off to a good start bringing in The Caters to run the Queen Vic freshening up the show, but then it went back to Kirkwood/Newman levels. Personality transplants of Ian and Jane have ruined them as characters. If the truth comes out that Bobby killed Lucy you know they will only get a slap on the wrist.

I don't envy the next producer having to come in and clean up the mess DTC is making. I think he's had it to easy he gets a free pass because most fans claim he saved the show.

Must say, I loved DTC at first, he revived EE, the Carters, the live shows, Ronnies rtn.

But now.... The lucy plot needs to come to an end, we found out who the killer was in the live shows, but it's been dragged out far too much and becoming boring.

The Carters are going to waste, the jacksons are leaving, Ian and Jane have become boring, Cindy is the one outshining them all at the moment.

Sharon, what even is her purpose at the moment? Phil? They could be a brilliant duo i DTC put the effort in, Im hoping he is making them boring in prep for the kathy return, which i dont care about but this could be amazing for the michells if done correctly.

The block storytelling is annoying though understand that wouldn't be his choice but that would be a decision made higher up at the BBC which despite DTC position I doubt he had much control over.

The Lucy story is genius and in my opinion iconic the way it is still going on now, he has to be given credit for that.

I'm loving the Massods again and Shabnam and Kush's heartbreak in a few weeks is going to be very emotional but they are a great couple and good actors so both will pull it off.

I'm loving the Carters have been toned down a little, playing Vic owners and second fiddle to other stories right now is what they need before no doubt they get another big story towards the end of the year.

Ronnie and Roxy are my issue at the moment, they really need a moment again! A massive story to make them relevant again as alot of there scenes are just stuck on repeat.

Lola's exit was terrible and by far one of the worst and most confusing exits in Eastenders.

Its a shame DTC had no plans for Charlie after the Nick plot had finished, he could have been a decent character to keep around.

Kathy's return in a few weeks is obviously the big thing and what we are all looking forward to.

Shazza is fine at the moment, we all know there are big things ahead for her and her line the other night ''she didn't even wash her hands the dirty cow'' is up there with her biscuit moment in my opinion

I'm loving EE and what DTC is doing...

We got the Carter's and they were put to the centre and people wanted to see less of them and that's what we've got right now. I like what he's done to the Masood's and Foxes by putting them with the Kazemi's and Hubbard's-I think they are great additions and have put the 2 families to the front. I think Newman ruined Sharon when she returned and he sorted her out and I quite like the relationship between her and Phil. I also love this darkside to Abi-I just can't wait for her reaction when she finds out about Ben and Paul. There is the conflict between Vincent and Phil, Buster and Phil's friendship and there is also Cora, who doesn't seem well.

With the Who Killed Lucy? I think it's being shown from 2 angles. Before the Live Week, it was finding out who Lucy's killer was and now it's about protecting Bobby. I know people have complained about it dragging out and that's their view, but some murder cases are like this-an innocent person being convicted which is Max and this is a complex case as a 12 year old is the last person people would suspect to be a murderer, especially his own sister.. It was rested for a few months and picked up again recently. We have no idea when or if Bobby's going to be arrested (I think from October it will all start coming out), if the rest of the family are going to face charges (I think after the year they've had, the cast kn the Beale family will be given a break and not feature as heavily), who turns in Bobby to the police and the implications for the person who does turn in Bobby.

More bad because of the way this Lucy story has gone then even more bad with Kush and co, it will get better when Kathy is back so more Mitchells and Beales connecting.

I don't know how anywone can stick up for DTC during the Lucy shambles that it now is.

Block story telling is annoying for example Cora returned this week but is not in the next six episodes!

More bad imo.

He started well then Too many crack came about.

Since the cracks started...kathy is the only positive thing that he has done (well undone)

The Lucy thing is the only good thing he's done IMO to date. Even that's going to pot now, sadly.

I don't think the Kathy return will be that damaging if it flops. I expected a lot more piss-taking in the media about the idea of her returning but I haven't come across anything, so it doesn't appear to be something that's under particular scrutiny unlike say, the baby-swap.

he was amazing on getting the job but its been pretty dire for a while now.
Lucy SL is getting ridiculous by the day
hopefully Kathy's return will turn the show round,
at the moment not one SL is remotely interesting

He started off brilliantly, I don't know what the hell happened, did Kirkwood come over and invade his body??

Personally I think DTC has been doing a great job so far.

The Lucy storyline has been fantastic. The revival of the storyline recently has been amazing and also the reindruduction of Cora.

Kathy's return is going to be unmissable. It's going to bring so many characters together in one big storyline.

The Lucy story was great, do people actually still find this good and exciting? lol

You guys only think he had a good start because of the state his predecessors left the show in. He isn't a good producer at all and he seems very selfish.
