He likes his wine. There's the rub. If he could follow the 5/2 diet that might help. Philip Schofield did it and he now arrogantly considers himself a wine expert. I really respect Adam as an actor and obviously his weight is no business of mine but I hope he can lose a couple of stones purely for his health's sake.
I forsee a further development and a dark shocking twist in the ongoing murder storyline - "Who Ate Lucy Beale?" ... the mystery deepens further still ...
This is what happens when you own a chippy and a burger joint I guess...
It's no so much that he's put on lots of weight, more that it all seems to be in the same place, out front like a baby bump or Mr Greedy. If it was spread evenly everywhere like my blubber, it might not be so mesmerising.
I also think it's down to the clothes. Some episodes it's more noticeable than others. Maybe Adam's pissed off someone in the wardrobe department.

This is an extremely rude thread as you taking the mick out of an actors weight, before you say your on about Ian and not the actor I'm afraid to say that they are the same people so therefore your being very rude to Adam

True. If it was a female actor who has put on weight and being criticised like Letitia Dean or the actress who plays Robyn in Casualty more people would defend the actresses. Yes I've been guilty of criticising a male actor's hair and I think we should all think before calling Adam Woodyatt fat. He could be on medication that's caused weight gain and therefore has no control over his weight unless the medication is stopped. (I'm not saying he is definitely, I'm just guessing.) Male actors have feelings too
Not knowing Adam personally, but with a fair scope of his personality from interviews and things, I think he'd probably laugh at this thread, but that's no excuse for its existence. It's rude, bullying and unfair.

We are not talking about the actor Adam, we are talking about the character he plays "Ian" so it's ok
The actor has been working himself to the bone with some really heavy emotional stories of late starting with the breakdown and tramp with the beard story, then all this, can't be goood for you.

Are you serious?! When it come's to someone's weight you can't say it's just the character he plays being criticised! The character and actor are one and the same. He's not wearing a special costume making him look big! Adam Woodyatt is a very good actor and he's a normal looking everyday man. He's average and everyday looking so a lot of viewers can relate to him.
If people were taking the mickey out of what the wardrobe put on an actor or the hair stylist putting a bad wig on someone that's different but where someone's weight is concerned or their face then people should be more sensitive and considerate towards the actor.
