I was browsing through Janette's Twitter page and read she had tweeted her sadness at the passing of Neale Pirie - I found out he was the hairstylist on strictly.

It seems a lot of the celebs and pros were good friends with him and are mourning his passing - it's really tragic as he was only 42. Anyway - I thought I'd start this thread because it's often said that people who work behind the scenes don't get enough credit, and it will no doubt be really sad when everyone who works on strictly will return back to work on the live shows. I'm sure he'll be very much missed. Condolences to his friends and family.

I came across your post last night. That is just so tragic and especially with a month to go before the whole thing starts again for a new run.

Strictly is essentially one big family and having been with the show for seven years, he will be irreplaceable. I do think it will be a good opportunity for the opening episode next year to be dedicated to his memory.

May Neale Pirie, rest in peace.

I had seen on twitter that lots of Strictly people have tweeted about his passing, how very, very sad for his family, friends and colleagues - he will be greatly missed
