When you have coffee at home, what brand do you buy?
I still use instant coffee (milicano)
Do you still use instant?

I use Alta Rica, it's the only instant coffee that I like.

I do have a jar of instant coffee, but I do not use it that often, it is Sainsburys dark roast. i normally buy coffee beans and from James gourmet.

Can anyone recommend a decent decaf coffee?
I'm drinking Kenco decaf at the moment, but not really enjoying it.

Of course you're not. The whole point of drinking it has been removed.

I get what you mean totally

It's not through choice I have to cut out caffeine.

I've heard that the Nescafe Alta Rica Decaf is quite nice.

I'm currently in between coffees at the moment. Nescafe Azera is one I drink on and off, as well as Nescafe Original. Gold Blend is currently my coffee of choice.

I always used to buy Gold Blend but have switched to Azera as it tastes more 'real'. I buy it in bulk so I can get it at a reasonable price.
Unfortunately I haven't room in my kitchen for a proper coffee machine, not even a cafetiere!

As a middle class North Londoner I can't say that I've ever tasted instant coffee. Normally a friend of ours who has a cottage in Columbia drops us some mountain grown organic beans that he roasts himself when he comes back home. If really desperate though we tend to buy from Budgens or Waitrose.

For the rare occasions I drink instant only Nescafé Cap Colombie will do and I always keep some in an airtight glass container, whatever's left gets thrown away and replaced every couple of years. Otherwise it's ground coffee via cafetiere but with an infuser, and at the moment I'm hooked on Taylors Lazy Sunday.

Nice, I would love to roast my own, but too much work and expense.

Usually the Kenco Milllicano one that comes in the black tin - can't remember the exact variety, but for an instant it is quite strong tasting, although still tastes like instant, rather than "proper" coffee.

I like my coffee so strong, a spoon would stand up in it, and drink way too much of it. I was becoming really hyper, suffering from anxiety, and depression. A friend pointed out that caffeine is, essentially, a drug. I had never considered my coffee addiction, could be the problem. I used to drink Carte Noir Espresso, but have decided that, as coffee is my only must have, and I cannot stop drinking it, I will drink decaffeinated. Carte Noir is stronger than other decaffs. I am on Kenco atm, as it was on offer. I like it.

i like my coffee strong as well, I normally do a double espresso at home and i always ask for a extra shot when I go to a coffee place if they don't already do it.

My 'everyday' coffee is Taylor's Hot Lava Java; it makes a good strong brew.

I'm drinking that at the moment it's called 'dark roast'....personally I prefer the ordinary one, but this was on special at nearly half-price.

I like that too. Cafedirect Machu Picchu is good also. As is their straight up medium roast.

Why do people still drink instant? It's cack.

Strength of 6 if I remember rightly, it is pretty good coffee, the problem is that like a lot of supermarket coffee it could have been roasted and ground months ago.

For quickness i presume and convenience. i drink instant at work as it is certainly better than that Nescafe pap that comes out of the machine

Its vacuum sealed, never had an issue with a stale batch. I can roast and grind beans at home but rarely do these days to be honest.

How is that possible? Just put your tea pot in the cupboard and you'll have more than enough room. How do you cope if you have a guest round? A cafetiere barely takes up more room than a second mug.
