Danny and Ryan though...as lovely and as talented as ever. Regardless of what they're given to do they put in the good work. No complaints there so I hope some upcoming awards give them the recognition they deserve.”
Totally agree with this part of your post. However, your alternative scenario wouldn't have changed much for me, because the scenes at the lodge manifested the picture of Robert as a psychopath.
Don't get me wrong, I thought it was brilliantly acted and highly entertaining to watch, but I can't see how anyone can say that Robert isn't a few cards short of a full deck after watching that. A sane person does not take a belt and gags an unconscious person with it, then ties them to a radiator and leaves them there over night. And they don't bring a gun either...
Maybe it's because I am an Aaron fan most of all, but I really don't want to see the two of them getting back together too soon. Especially not without some sort of visible redemption or change in Robert's character.
I know kalispera is probably right, and I won't have much choice but accept it whichever way it plays out. But if the writers want us to believe that their relationship is worth anything more than eye candy and sensationalistic drama, there has to be more to it than a chat in the bar and another "I came to say sorry" from Robert.
