I am very disappointed with the picture quality which is far from brilliant despite all efforts to adjust. It is connected to a Virgin HD box. It might seem very silly but when I bent down on the floor near the TV and glanced up it was a vastly improved brilliant picture.. I have tried raising it to several heights with but I cannot replicate the brilliant picture. It seems to me that the TV is designed for wall use rather than a table. Mine is 19" high for viewing and has always been suitable for previous TVs Has anyone else got problems.

For optimum quality you really need to sit directly infront of the TV with the center of the screen at eye level when sat. Depending on screen/manufacturer, the picture starts to get washed out the further away you sit away from the prime position.

Where are you sat in relation to the TV?

I sit about 7 ft away but I view looking slightly downwards. As stated I have never experienced this with this stand . As stated I have always had this stand and always Sony but have never had this problem

Looks like you have a screen that requires a more critical viewing position to your previous model.

To get the best out of the TV you are going to have to make some adjustments somewhere - taller tv stand?
