Amy Barlow is my new favourite character
This girl is hilarious. Clearly a chip off the old block, but also channelling Nana Blanche. Her one liners and scheming are hysterical! She needs more screen time. Anyone agree?

I am assuming you mean AMY Barlow.
I am a tad concerned that all soap kids at the moment are turning into raving lunatics. Yes, Amy will take after her Mum and will probably grow up a heartless cow with a swinging brick in her chest. But it's not just her. Simon Barlow has morphed into Damien Thorn of late. And it's spreading, there is also super nutcase Bobby in Eastenders welding a brick about threatening to clump somebody. Loonies the lot of them. What ever happened to the days when kids disappeared into the bathroom to wash their hands for 6 months. |

Yes little Elle Mulvaney has really come into her own this last few months!! What I like is that she so clearly has her mother sussed, yet so far she's coming across as resonably likeable!! I'm really glad they've veered away from the nasty little character who tried to get Eccles put down a few months since, that was too close to a mini Tracy!! This current version is combining Bethany's wit with a more caring streak as well & it's working really well for me!! I'd hate to see her just turn into Tracy mk 2!! That would be so boring & predictable!!

I find the actress can be very forced and sometimes Amy comes out with things which seem way too grown up. Similar with lots of soap kids, sometimes it seems very obvious that the dialogue has come from an adult.
That said, Amy is Tracys daughter through and through and I do enjoy their scenes. Tracy was absent for much of Amy's younger years, and whilst she is a morally reprehensible and somewhat heartless bitch, she does love Amy and recognises that she hasn't been mother of the year. |

I think the little girl who plays her will be fine as Amy Barlow when she is older. She's fine and funny now mind, but I think she will only improve.

I think their relationship is getting better as Amy gets older. Tracy can see exactly what Amy is and Amy can see exactly what Tracy is.
It's a far cry from the horrible scene one Christmas Day where Tracy threw red wine over Amy's dress just because Becky had bought it for her and she didn't want her to wear it |

I started liking her when she claimed to be hearing Nana Blanches ghost & Katy asked her what she was saying.

Amy is hilarious and the way the actress delivers her lines is very impressive. I would also add that Tracy and Amy work very well together and are very believable as mother and daughter. Especially in comparison to the dreadful Leanne and Simon, who I find very unconvincing. |

For me Amy doesn't have to come out with these grown up come backs every single time she speaks, it will start to grate after a while. I like how she knows her mother is manipulative and seems to be berating her but she doesn't need to speak like someone 20 years older than she actually is in order to do it. |

She's definitely a good actress for sure... but sorry, Amy's "witty" one-liners just don't do it for me.
It's actually rather cringeworthy watching each ep and seeing every single writer trying desperately to create their own "Woman, Stanley, Woman!" moment and failing miserably. If they toned the writing for Amy down just slightly, I'd find her more likeable and less of a smartarse. |

I think the actress who plays Amy is fantastic. She has elements of blanche and tracey in her which is brilliant. I noticed at deirdries funeral, they all compared her to blanche. I hope they take her down a blanche acid tongue root, than a tracey super bitch murdering scum root.

They do seem to have softened her though and make her more likeable. She's been a bit of a surly brat up to now. |

Ooh I really like her, I suddenly become more interested in Corrie when she appears. I defiantly can see Blanche in her
![]() Elle is a great little actor, her future is quite bright IMO. |

She's my favourite character now! Says a lot for the state of the show when I think a child actor is the best thing on there!

An annoying brat. And she is no Blanche Hunt either. It worked with Blanche being an older woman, not with some kid trying to act obnoxious.

She's being ruined. She was much better with Steve. She'll end up picking up all of Kate Ford's habits. I much preferred her and Steve's double act.
This sarcastic, mocking attitude will get annoying really fast. She's a right madam. |

I really like Amy, and its funny because when I first started watching Corrie in 2012 they rarely showed her and I'd forget Steve even had a kid but now they really have made her a great character and she's following in her mother's foot steps. As she gets older and gets her own stories it will be really interesting to see if they take her down the same path as Tracey.

Anybody else think she has a look of Holly Chamarette, Tracy mark 2?
