Connecting DVD Player
Connected one of these up for a friend yesterday, she has a Sony TV and Video recorder (not widescreen) and a Panasonic Set top box with 1 scart socket.
There are 2 scarts on the back of TV set so I've used 1 for the set top box and 1 for a Scart splitter (3 scarts to 1 scart) I've plugged the Video and DVD into this. Now when she uses the Video recorder the playback is in widescreen and the colours seem much sharper (in other words the picture isn't so good), she can remedy the widescreen to full screen by pressing a button. Is it because I've put the DVD and Video in the splitter and does anyone know if there is another way to do this, to stop this happening, it would be ideal if the set top box had 2 scarts but it doesn't. If anyone has any ideas will you let me know please (simpe terms please and I'm a bit thick) because she'll drive me mad till it's right Thanks |

If you forget the splitter, and run the DVD perhaps through the AUX scart on the video?
(Put the TV on the video channel and then change the channel on the video to AUX and you will get the DVD come through) Hope I explained this easy enough. (I used to have to do it with my ps2 when I didnt have enough Scart connections. |
