so now Cindy and Liam have flown off into the sunset the square is very lacking in teens.

In fact I do not think there are any 13-18 year olds left in the cast!

bobby beale is a tween and I think Abi is the next youngest and must be around 19 now.

so from being overloaded by teens we now have none is this a good move or a bad move?

I am not convinced Cindy's exit is permanent and if she does return, I would like to see her bond with Rebecca. The problem is the is nobody of Rebecca's age for her to interact with but she could grow close to Bobby. They are second cousins and so a link already exists

Edit- just seen the article confirming Cindy's exit

yeah but at rebecca's age you don't want to hang round with someone 3yrs younger.

even when EE first started there was teen friendship groups, Ian, Sharon, Mark, Michelle, Lofty etc.

now it seems young actors and actresses do not have the commitment to stick around and so they recast (peter, lucy, lauren) or they end up with them leaving and the character going (or axed in lucy and dexters case)

Yeah that the thing, I guess I was kind of hoping the family link will be enough to push Becks and Bob together but you're right there. Shame as she is only seen once every few months and is now the sole representative of her age bracket.

Axing the youngsters is a mistakes, Dexter excepting. i think Lucy had so muxh left to offer although her storyline has been nothing short of gripping. The E20 friendship group has been reduced to just Fats altho Whitney is still there and they dont do anything with Fats/Tam anymore. I think they do need a solid friendship group so that in the future, there will still be a close friendship needed for stories eg Ian and Sharon

They've gone overboard with the oldies and decimated the young adults. The balance is all wrong now. The young people we do have hardly feature. Do we really need Carmel, Claudette, Pam, Les, Cora, Kathy, Patrick, Dot and Aunt Babe (and Big Mo).

Oh yes. Far too many IMO. Then we have Phil, Billy, Shirley and Buster all in their 50s.
