Can anyone explain Lockies motives for having multiple affairs?

He seems to love Porsche and goes to great lengths to comfort her and make her feel secure in their relationship when he is in fact taking any opportunity he gets to shag about.

Is he unhappy with her? Doing if for the thrill? It seems so unnecessarily selfish.

The Bisexual Braveheart (as Nana once called him) is an "any hole's a goal" tart.

He's married to Porsche, Of course he's unhappy. Have you heard the way she talks to him and treats him. Why he doesn't leave her I'll never know. She's a nightmare.

Absolutely! She's the epitome of screeching fishwife and treats everyone with such contempt that it's surprising ANYONE wants her around never mind her husband, I just don't get why he doesn't leave her, or at least tell her she's a horror? He seems to put up with it, and even encourage it at times, even help her justify it, then goes on to just continue his reign of terror with anyone and everyone he can get hold of.

Because it's the only thing the scriptwriters can think of?

It's becoming the norm now, several characters on Hollyoaks having multiple affairs. I don't know if its BK's way of shafting viewers' mind off other storylines and keeping them at bay. What makes me angry is that BK making a lot of characters either bisexual or gay when there is retconning involved. It makes no sense and I suppose it doesn't do justice to stereotypes. It portrays gay or bisexual people as sex hungry people who can't keep it in their pants when it's not true at all.
