The self-titled Britney album as well as In The Zone were beyond fantastic. I've always liked her music, but I think her very best work came out between 2001 and 2004. I live for that era, its music and fashion

I'd certainly welcome more music from her. Prefer her to Taylor Swift any day of the week.

While age might be a factor she's only (nearly 34) Kylie was in the height of it at 34 and Mariah was 35 when she had We Belong Together so I think If there's a song everyone is going mad for the radio stations would overturn the alleged age related bias.
How old is Enrique Iglesias? He must be in his 40s now and he has one of the biggest songs around at the moment.
If she has the right songs written for her and sounds good on them, then yes she could have a comeback.”

That is true, if she would collaborate with someone "hot" or feature like on the Moroder thing and radio backs it.
Still I don't find her deserving it, at least show some effort, if she would take singing lessons and prove she has the willpower to get back to the top of her game (like madonna did for Evita and ROL) and do promotion.
All her contemporaries (whether bad or reasonable or good) DO sing live what a singer should be able to (Gaga, Rihanna, Katy, Pink, Beyonce, Xtina)
Now she is just like Cheryl Cole, a full on preprogrammed robot that is lacking any distinctive singing

People don care if she mines coz at least she performs very well and puts on a show people will forever remember like she's currently doing, none of them dance as much as britney, Rihanna so t got a great. Voice and neither does Katy and they he criticised for singing out of tune so what's the point of singing live if it's gonna be crap, people would prefer ou to Mime and put a good show in instead, peoe know what they are getting from britney and they are just happy that she's happy

And let's not forget, Madonna was about 349 when Hung Up/Confessions came out

Who cares? People don't buy records based on the singer's fans thinking that they're a great person or whatever.

Don't forget that the industry was in a different place when Kylie and Mariah had huge comebacks in their thirties, the same goes for Madonna and Hung Up. I'm not sure if Britney will ever have a hit like We Belong Together, Can't Get You Out of My Head and Hung Up in her thirties.

Really well I don't know any, if your gonna walk out of a Britney gig for mining then you clearly don't know what to expect from a Britney gig, most fans like myself are just happy that she's comfortable and performing very well again

Katy Perry is weak but Rihanna has a far superior voice to Britney Spears. And maybe it's just me, but I actually care about music above some travelling pantomime routine so I would strongly prefer the singer to you know, actually sing live. It doesn't have to be note perfect every night but live performances can be incredible because they are unique and they convey personality and musicality. A few raw moments here or there actually add to the experience.

Everyone one knows she mimes but her piece of me show is selling well and her last shows for the past week or two have been amazing some videos on instragram have showed her singing live a bit more especially during womanizer and work bitch tbink sjes getting her fire back goi to awards shows and doing the red carpet again

I dont think the music is the problem yes between 99-04 she had hits and hits but since 04 sjes had some amazing songs and albums like femme fatale and blackout and songs like till the world ends, work bitch, gimme more, womanizer the key thing is promotion for her

I don't think she really cares... if she did, she'd have promoted Pretty Girls a lot more than she did.

Britney hasn't been relevant since 2007.

She's over as a commercial force as are most of the ageing divas to be honest, Kylie, Madonna, Mariah...none of them can buy a top10 hit for love nor money!

Yes but that doesn't mean they should stop performing or releasing music. All those acts are now big names in the music world and icons in their own right so commercial success is probably less important than it once was. Britney, Kylie, Madonna etc. will always have hardcore fanbases, no matter what.

Really coz britney had a top 10 hit with work bitch just 2 years ago, so your point kinda is invalid, britney has more of a chance of a top 10 hit than all of those names you have mentioned coz you can still rely on britney for a fun catch pop hit.

At this rate it will be only foetuses that can get a top 10 hit

I honestly think her heart just isn't in making new music anymore
