TalkTalk TV with BT DTRT2100?
Hey.
I just signed up to Talk Talk TV and my service goes live on 1st September and TV 7th September, I've used the box TalkTalk before and found it clunky and low storage compared to my BT box. I'm hoping I can use my BT YouView box with Talk Talk? Do I just plug the BT box in and update the software and not plug in the supplied box? Thank you |

Yes have to wait for the bt player to be replaced by the talk talk logo. I had the clunky talk talk box on bt and it didn't even record Internet channels properly so plugged in that non recordable bt box, night and day that difference

Just do a software update and all will be well. Your BT services will be replaced by their TalkTalk equivalents. Pressing the BT Player button on the remote will bring up the TalkTalk Player. I am an original TalkTalk YouView subscriber, but I bought my BT box earlier this year because TalkTalk's Huawei box wasn't really adequate and recordings could be affected by Netflix (something that has been fixed on later Huawei boxes, apparently). It updated itself automatically during installation, but I subsequently discovered that my TalkTalk services were not present, so I did another update. That sorted the matter out. It now functions as a TalkTalk box - albeit at BT speed.
