Eastenders - Great Acting by Phil Mitchell
I thought he was great tonight especially the scenes with Kathy and also when he opened the door to the garage to talk to Ben just after Kathy ran off

I personally thought Steve McFadden and Gillian Taylforth were fantastic tonight. Eastenders isn't my favourite soap, but it does have some of the finest actors.

Steve McFadden is a fantastic actor certainly underrated by many, lots of people may not like the character of Phil Mitchell but whatever material McFadden is given to portray he more often than not nails it. It must surely be time he recognised at the soap awards, a lifetime achievement award as he has been fantastic for pretty much 25 years minus his year and a half break and has appeared in some of the biggest storyline's in EastEnders history and i think he has appeared in something like 2,600 episodes of EastEnders, a true soap legend.

Steve has always been great, like Phil or not, he is one of the best actors in soap.

Although in reality he has actually had a much varied storyline history, much moreso than most of the characters. He is a bloody good actor (there's only a handful in EE) and I agree he isn't recognised often enough for it. |

You give Steve something to work with and he'll knock it out the park. Whatever people may think of Phil. Steve plays the part superbly well.
