I think it looks better than 'first day good' - they have great chemistry for a beginning and he's moving very nicely. Wish he'd pontificate a bit less, though. It's going to be a long haul to Xmas at this rate!

The cha-cha was always traditionally first week Latin (waltz was first ballroom) because with the rider that all the dances are hard for men/women/tall people/short people it was seen as being the easiest to start with.

I have full confidence in Peters commitement to Strictly Come Dancing, he says in the Daily Express Saturday magazine today,

" When I leave Strictly I hope people will say 'he worked hard' "

With words like that he could well end up walking home with this years glitter ball.

not sure want to see Peter as Jack Sparrow simply because he is dancing to the same paso music as Riker Lynch did as JS on Dancing with the Stars and who did an outstandingly fabulous job. people who have seen Riker/ Allison Holker will compare Peter's version - just hope they dont rip off the DWTS dance moves: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qU0FLA7Qww. nevertheless, he will no doubt score high because of this particular dance choice combo

Enjoyed that video. Thank you.

It will be interesting to see how Janette's choreography compares.

I think Peter Andre is in danger of doing a Jake Wood, sets a high standard, but doesn't improve and gets overtaken.
Its no coincidence that they have the same professional partner.

I think it'll be more due to dancing than a few cobbled together words. At least, I would hope so

I believe Jake was a poor dancer who Janette put on the map with her amazing salsa.

We are only on week 2 and peter and Janette are on top of the leader-board, I do not understand the logic behind the coincidence because not enough has happened to have one.

Please don't compare the amazing Peter Andre with that

I don't either but my guess would be that she is the pro. Her quality of movement seemed that bit more refined, particularly the way she moves her arms from shape to shape - not so much the final shapes as the transition to it. His movements seemed a tad more spikey.

It's a good question. Allison is a contemporary dancer (and the pro). Ryker was a member of a family boyband...and cousin to Derek Hough. He competed in ballroom at junior level. This was a partnership where the celeb absolutely had more ballroom experience than the 'pro'

I enjoyed the energy in the routine but everything Allison choreographs is at a thousand miles an hour and too manic for me.

They're much more blase about ringers on DWTS aren't they?

Having watched that YouTube clip I say a big NO to backing dancers on Strictly!

I'm afraid I don;t quite agree. I did have high hopes for Peter, bearing in mind the profession he is in etc, but the quality of his dancing is not very good at all. I hope he can improve but at the moment, I can't see the potential to.

He's a bellend. An over marked bellend.

Not his fault he's getting overmarked.

Will be surprised if he gets better technically, Jake didn't seem to last year, think Janette is all about the show.

I wonder if the judges will reign the over-marking in a bit, given that he's been denounced as a liar by a high court judge? Doesn't fit with the (supposed) squeaky clean image of the show if the panel are seen to be favouring someone so duplicitous

Well, given that all articles about him this morning make sure to mention that he's in SCD, I hope he doesn't end up top of the leaderboard. Far better a middle-of-the-scoreboard position for as little attention as possible.
