Wow, Peter get so desperate in the Sun interview today as he point out that Jay been to dancing school!

What you been doing for last 25 years, Peter??

What's he been doing?
Honing his Michael Jackson impression and polishing his halo presumably.

Phew, glad I had honest Pete to point that out for me, what with it being so hidden and difficult information to find (apart from on Jay's BBC bio, clips on the internet, Jay's own words etc etc etc) *never have I missed the rolling eye smilie so much*

If I were Janette and aware of all the criticisms made about my teaching ability, I would determinedly say goodbye to circus tricks for two weeks and produce step / frame perfect dances in order to shove my clenched little fist up my critics' derrieres
Absolutely ! It would be lovely to see her come up with a routine that does not rely on smoke and mirrors. I do think that Peter is capable of it. I thought that the pros had experts drafted in to help with a routine when it was not their speciality - I'm thinking of ballroom in this case. Does this still happen, does anyone know?

People were complaining Peter was getting the pimp slot as some personal favour to him. I think now we can say they put what they think is the best dance at the end so the show ends on a high. It wasn't Peter this time. He looked the part, had a makeup on that would make Claudia green with envy, but the dance wasn't there.

He comes across as a bitter and sad man in that interview:

He said: “I want to make this point clear, I’ve been on stage for years but what I did was purely self-taught by watching idols like MICHAEL JACKSON and PRINCE.

“I’ve never been to dance school, so technically I’ll never be brilliant.”

Rival Jay attended the Charlotte Hamilton School of Dance and Midlands Academy of Dance and Drama.

Pete said: “In regards to Jay, as long as everyone now knows he’s dance school trained then fair play to him.”

It just comes across as poor sportsmanship.

They don't do miracles in those schools. Harry Judd was a natural talent with no experience and he became a winner.

I've no idea whether the pros have the option of asking for expert help. You would think it would be the most sensible thing to do.
Perhaps Janette has had to resort to routines full of smoke and mirrors because it's all she has. Clearly all the years Peter has been performing on stage aren't translating well to Strictly. Either Janette can't teach the most rudimentary technique or Peter is incapable of learning it. Or both. She does have Aljaz on tap, and he's proved to be a very good teacher of both performance and technique. She could easily ask him.

I think he has rhythm, he can move his body parts, that's a big asset there already. He just needs somebody to show him how to use it. And I would not mind to see him dancing with Aljaz either

Is he trying to lay the ground now for why the bookies' favourite might not win? Dance school training beating out poor, misunderstood, insincere, perjurer Pete? If that lower lip trembles any more, I'll feel the tremor from here.

This is so true. Stage school dance is mostly mediocre - a bit of this and that - and any students with actual dance talent go on to train elsewhere if they want to be really good.

I'm waiting for a 'cod' injury, flu or a pulled muscle from him - so that he can straight into tragic victim mode and be seen languishing in a wheelchair being frightfully brave and whispering, 'the show must go on'.

The chorus of boos and cackling which will inevitably follow this will be hushed by the Beeb who have enough trouble on their hands trying to bury his legal catastrophe.

Talk about passive aggressive......

That "now" makes it look as though this was hidden information which has been uncovered.

Peter definitely getting around in the tabloids today, then. Mirror front page had a photo of him in his Strictly outfit, with the header "Zip It! Andre told to stop his sex boasts".

This is what I've always said, if you want to be a professional dancer you go to a dance school not a stage school. Or to Italia Conti, which as a course specialising in professional dance.

I think Peter did the wrong thing in signing up for SCD this year. He's over estimated his popularity. With each week that goes by my opinion of him sinks .. I don't know where we'll be at come the end of the series.
Feel a bit sorry for Janette who had every reason to think she'd hit the jackpot this year.

He's just doing his public service, making doubly sure everyone knows Jay has had dance training & he's quite right, poor Pete probably thought he had it in the bag & then nasty Jay comes along & steals his thunder.
All those years of standing in front of a mirror perfecting his MJ gone completely to waste.

If that becomes common knowledge, Peter Andre is toast as far as winning Strictly is concerned.

The sad, bitter, self-pitying, haft wit is finally showing his true colours.

I think it's suddenly become news because St Peter of the Stompy feet has chosen to exclusively reveal this hitherto unknown information to a sycophantic moron from the gutter press. Or something.

I've seen elsewhere that TPTB have supposedly been begging him for years to do the show. There's a teensy bit of me that finds it hilarious that he does finally join the show at the same time as a high court judge calls him a liar, thus potentially overshadowing any success he may have.

Yes Tanzie quite a few of the dances are choreographed by others, famously most of the charlestons and ATs are, a lot of the other pros collaborate together, Ola and James obviously, Kristina used to ask for help from Robin. Ian seems to be called in a lot, Anya was shown helping someone last year.

As you say she has Aljaz to help her, I know other male pros have been brought in by female pros to teach a male celeb the male way to dance it.

Ultimately, she has this job for a few months of the year there is nothing stopping her learning how to dance different styles nor even learning how to teach in its self a difficult discipline

All this applies to you also Anton

Whatever I can see whenever she has her feet on the ground that is, she stands out less as being really bad at ballroom in pro dances but she has a way to go to get up to the standard of the others, Natalie I would suggest never , Karen is almost equally as bad.
