I think the people who hate him and are hoping he doesn't last long should pray that he is partnered with Kristina.

I've seen quite a few people say that there is no way they will vote for her now regardless of who her partner is.

The audience of CBB is somewhat different to SCD. CBB audience crave crudity & nastiness so she was on home turf. Anyway Peter left her 6 years ago and has traded up.

yes but she did give some graphic details of her love life, I can't see her doing Strictly but I can see Michelle doing it and Katie being in the audience every week

Numbers of followers dont mean a great deal on this show; especially in the low run. Pixie was one of the most followed person last year and yet she was eliminated before the quarter finals; We also had an history of previous contestants with a lot of followers being eliminated quite early. Those with few followers like Judy Murray , Jimmy, ......progressing quite a bit.

Well he's bookies fave already - 4.8.

Those odds could easily - and very possibly will - change as the rest of the lineup is revealed.

Well, we got through a series with Ann Widdecombe so I suppose we'll have to learn to live with Peter Andre. I actually feel a bit sorry for the guy. He's obviously not the sharpest knife in the drawer, otherwise he wouldn't have hooked up with that repulsive woman. But I don't follow the tabloids, apart from being a rather pitiful character has he done a lot wrong ?

A lot of the abuse he gets on line is from Katie fans. He is the devil incarnate because he dumped her sorry ar.e Many others don't like him but the vitriol / bile is from this cabal.

From his music videos and the videos I have seen of him on stage he looks like a reasonably good dancer.

However, the type of dancing he is used to doing is totally different to the type of dancing he is going to have to do on Strictly. I don't know why but I just have this feeling that he wont do too well with the ballroom.

I wish him well but I have a feeling he may regret doing this.

He lies, manipulates, uses his kids and is every bit the narcasistic media whore that his ex wife is. Just as shallow, just as vapid. He somehow thinks loving his kids is special, and saying it a lot negates the price tag he puts on their childhood. Nothing is private in his life.

I agree that he's got a lot of abuse over the years from Katie Price fans, I remember when he split from her and some of the flak he got from team Katie was but there are also many people who don't like Price that don't like Andre either and I think that dislike is more to do with his public spats with his ex and the fact that he sells his private life.

I agree that just because he's done choreograhed dancing in his pop career it doesn't mean he's going to be a good dancer on strictly but I've going a feeling that he is going to be on the strictly for the long haul....however, I think even if he has a shock exit at the quarter finals, he'll have got all exposure he wants to raise his profile.

Horrendously choreographed dancing...moonwalking and crotch grabbing at least 20+ years after Michael Jackson. The guys a joke..but lets see how he does...he's an interesting signing

That's how I see it . I'll wait and see how he pans out . To be fair most of the celebs with kids get a visit from them in rehearsals or show them on tapes and if they're old enough they go to the shows so again that's no big deal or out of the Strictly normal .

I didn't say he'd done highly choreographed complex dance numbers - I just said he'd danced pop choreography in his career - he wasn't moonwalking in the youtube clip I put up earlier in the thread- he was dancing a choreographed number and imo he looks like a decent mover and if he applies himself he does have potential.

Apart from the fact I admit to reading the DM showbiz pages for gossip, I agree with you. I like to think he realises his time with KP was a big mistake and that she used him, then spat him out! Yes, he is photographed with his children a lot, but I can live with that because he's got an image to maintain as he gets older i.e. he's a family man now and not married to another version of KP.

There have been worse contestants than PA, some of them already mentioned like AW and Dominic Littlewood. Everyone has their limit, but I am surprised PA is a deal breaker for some. Now KP or Sharon Osborne are my deal breakers, so I'm crossing everything they will never ever do the show.

To me, he is no different from those two women. He seems to get away with it as he plays the victim, but he lies, he uses, he manipulates just as much as both those odious women. Although Osbourne is disgusting.

Well said , sensible comments . I should imagine that intelligent people won't be interested in stupid showbiz gossip fed to them from people with agendas and will judge him only on how he is on the show .
Even KP and SO wouldn't be deal breakers for me , I'd watch just to see how they manage the strict regime needed to learn and perform live . Neither seem used to taking orders so it would be interesting watching their training vts .

Well as an expert on all things Peter Andre having spent the last 6 years analysing his every move and utterance will you be watching SCD? Surely you won't want to miss an opportunity to add to your ammunition against him.

Well that seems unnecessary and overly personal and invested. And overly defensive about and protective of someone who a lot of people really do like like for perfectly valid reasons.

Anyway, I don't like anything about Peter Andre but I'm still quite interested in seeing how he does, and if he can dance. And if he can, and does well, then as far as I'm concerned, it's a good thing and just adds to the show. It won't make me like him, but I'll still be able to appreciate his dance abilities if he turns out to have any.
