Cat and baby video

I found this video on youtube. While it's cute that the baby laughs, does anyone else think it was irresponsible to put the cat in with the baby? You can't say 100% what the reaction will be. It might have decided that it was a new toy or simply an annoyance. Even just lowering it down, it might have lashed out and the mother would have had no control. Plus it is surely not a good idea to let the cat think this is OK territory?

not really the cat is chilled out and its good to socialise and allow your animals to interact with your baby, its when you don't socialise them together that issues arise.

As for territory that whole house is already the cats territory better he knows what's on it

Fair enough. I can see the point of that. Cat looks unconcerned - though back is arched a little? Still spooks me though.

then don't have animals and babies together as they will sense an issue from yourself.

My dog and my baby way back when probably from your point of view scarier than the cat

A well raised properly socialised animal is never really a danger to anyone as long as adequately supervised by their owner whom they trust and respect, not some random person

Are you a cat owner? It doesn't sound like it.
