john, don't keep trying to top up, when your phone says 'send fail' as you try to send txts sumtimes they do actually go thru cuz i tried about 5times earlier and it sent it twice to my friend even though it sed it had failed to send it, it might happen when you try to top up and with the top up server down it wont go onto your account but the voucher number will still be used so you will have to buy another.
i'd just leave it a few hours and if it still doesnt work try tomorrow. mcflyer~ |

To be honest, every day there is a thread with "o2 problems". Its getting quite tiresome the amount of problems they have. Thank god i'm with Orange.

like i sed, i'm starting to regret switching to o2 from the 3 network and they suck big time! but o2 are certainly catching them up by lowering to 3's service standards.

I had no probs with text yesterday but on wedensday evening text would not sent for just over 2 hours. My hole area was down and so was some other parts of the country on wedensday. I do find the 02 signal can go weak now and again.

o2
They have their problems like everyone else, My work involves dealing with all networks and there are people who end up without service for weeks through cr@p customer service and it aint just o2, ask for a manager and dont treat the advisor like a turkey, these guys listen to it all day and couldnt care less if you rant at them, you will get nowhere.
Be firm and polite and refuse to get off the phone until you speak to someone. Most of these companies are installing new systems all the time and initially come across problems no one could have anticipated. All their problems are given a priority rating so if there is a bigger problem than the one affecting you then you are nackered basically. Project management within these companies is shocking to say the least. One tiny piece of the loop gets missed and tiny but crucial requirements are left out and chaos reigns for weeks sometimes seriously! |

I've been having problems for the last week with texting. Started mid last week in fact and started out that it wouldnt send my texts, and that occurred randomly. after 2 days it started saying messages sent but i found out they were not being received. I tried playing around with the settings etc to no avail. Currently i can send messages and it seems almost everyone receives them. One of my friends on Vodafone doesnt seem to get them, and my dad said he texted me today but i have yet to receive that text. I emailed o2 on saturday and got an immediate automated reply with info on it but it didnt really help.
