I really try to avoid new gadgets because they do usually end up in the garage but I did recently buy a sandwich maker in the mistaken belief that they must have improved over the last 30_40 years. Was I wrong. It got used twice. Now I make lovely toasties in the fryingvpan.

There's nothing really not used. The food processor only gets used when needed and the slow cooker isn't used much over the summer months.

Used:
Slow cooker.
Bread maker.
Nespresso machine.
Toaster.
Combination convection/microwave oven.

Not used:
Food mixer thing.
Conventional oven.

I had a toasted sandwich maker which I used a lot while I was working from home. Not just as a novelty: I needed 5 extra lunches a week, and found it useful as another option for a hot meal. Now I eat at work so I don't need so many lunches, and stopped using it. About 18 months ago I give it to some guys at work, and they did the traditional "used it a lot for a month and then never since".

I just now bought moulds to make ice balls. I suspect these will not be used as they don't really cool down my drinks.

I like jacket potatoes, though I do in the microwave first to soften them a bit.

It's good for oven chips.

It does sausages well too

Never thought about putting Jacket spuds in the microwave first, I did try them in the air fryer and they did not turn out that well, i will try the microwave next time to soften.

I normally do my sausages on the press grill, but I have tried them in the air fryer and they do cook ok.
i did try fried bread once, it did not work

My juicer (enormous) was a pain to assemble/use/clean so I shunted it off to my daughter who used it once then binned it.

An Expresso coffee maker thinginy the OH and myself received as a wedding gift.

Never, ever been used in over ten years;I got as far as taking it out of the box, and reading the instructions. Then I thought "I cant be doing with all this faffing about for a small cup of coffee"

So, it just sits in a cupboard, not paying rent.

Several sized hand whisks
More than I could count in wooden utensils
More than I could count in steel utensils
Large collection of bakeware items
Large collection of cake decorating equipment
Knives
Two butchers blocks
Potato ricer
Five different sized mixing bowls (and 1 glass one for whipping cream)
Salt and pepper pigs (kitchen only)

Things I would never own, but most people can't live without...

I am in love with my Magimix, they're fabulous don't you think?

We have the 4200, with three bowls! Don't know how I managed without it, although I shall be resembling a rabbit with the amount of salad I've consumed since we got it.
