46-50" TV for under £600 - Help needed!

Hello, thanks for opening the post,

So i'm replacing my 9-year-old Samsung that has served me well as a bedroom tv since i was 16, making the smooth transition to University and beyond. But as I enter proper adulthood, I feel the time is right to slob out with some HD quality. So i'm looking for an Full HD TV in the 46-50" range (small living room, even that's a little bit of a stretch for the size) with crisp screen quality and god smart features/connectivity etc. I wouldn't really use it for gaming, just films and TV.

From my own research, i've narrowed it down to the Samsung UE48H6400 and Panasonic TX-50CS520. If someone has advice on which to go for i'd be eternally grateful (although other suggestions welcome).

this is too dear (i've seen it advertised at £749) but you get a lot for the money

i saw that one last night, but when i did a comparison with the lg the pricier lg ticked all my boxes lol

the panasonic does seem the best one for your price range that has all the elements.

some of the richer sound reviewers were critical of the tv sound.

there is a five year guarantee with john lewis. it's only £5 more than currys.

they also do a price match if you ask them

hope it works out for you

Thanks, only slight concern now is jumping too early on to the 4k. Sound not a problem as I've got some decent speakers

Crikey, 48" 4k Panasonic smart TV for £589 with a 5 year warranty, that's a blinding deal! The actual TV looks pretty nice too, very small bezels which is great.

I do like LG though as we've had a 42" LG smart TV for the last 18 months and it's been faultless, but that Panasonic is brilliant value for money.
