I don't eat takeaways very often but I have my favourite pie and chips to start with. The pies are really nice at the fish & chip shop down the road. I then have a portion of banana fritters from the local Chinese restaurant which are lovely. This is my weekly food treat.

What is your favourite takeaway meal?

I don't get takeaway often being vegetarian as you never know what they put in stuff, so with that in mind I rarely stray further than chips and mushy peas. I might get a veggie chinese curry every now and then or a veggie dominoes pizza.

Before I moved to the country or was dominos pizza or indian, but I can't order takeaway any more as there's none around . I suppose it's a good thing really.

Chinese. Anything salt and pepper and the more the better. Rarely have it these days, used to be a weekly thing, sometimes more but will now be monthly-6 weekly.

My favourite is Indian, second choice is takeaway nandos!

Fried chicken.

I presume you've checked with the chippy what they cook their chips in? And also that no fish or meat products are fried in the same oil?

You can't beat a takeaway pizza, until you consider the price, and then you realise you've been taken for a right proper Charlie!

We had dominos three times last week 😏 pizza has always been my favourite food. In my defence its £8.99 any pizza any size collection and it does me 2 days. So technically I only went to dominoes twice. The second visit I had the snax box chicken thing. They were half price and I am a lazy chuff

Veggie burger in a bun with salad and garlic mayo. With chips and curry sauce

Cheeseburger. Any variation of. I took away Burger King xl bacon dbl cheeseburger meal. It was yummy!

I only have a take away, or should I say delivery, about once a month.

I go between three things, but can't say which is favourite, it just depends what I fancy at the time.

1st. is Indian - onion bhajis, chicken tikka (the dry pieces not a curry), bombay potatoes and a plain naan.
2nd. is a shish kebab with just onions, pitta bread and chips, plus onion rings sometimes.
3rd. is Tex-Mex - Potato skins with cheese and bacon, Gringo steak with cheese, onion, corn on the cob and chips.

I never have salad or mushrooms with anything as I don't like them.

Dominoes - stuffed crust chicken pizza with a BBQ sauce base.

I don't ever really have takeaways, especially since developing anorexia. But we had a takeaway night for Cooking Group when I was inpatient last year, and most of us got Dominoes. And it was so good.

Salt and pepper spare ribs, followed by duck in black bean sauce (to which I add a heap of chillies) with noodles.

Chicken Tikka on skewers done on a charcoal grill, wrapped in a naan bread with salad & sauce on the side from our local place.
Then again a local Chippy does a wonderful Special haddock (2 fillets in breadcrumbs) & Chips for under £6.
It's a toss-up tbh. 👍

We don't have it that often as I enjoy cooking, every couple of months maximum.

When we do it's usually Indian from the local restaurant or Dominos (if we've got a voucher). Very occasionally Chinese, again from the local restaurant, I tend to find restaurants do nicer take-away than a stand-alone takeaway.

I can't say what I have as I like to try something different every time from the Indian (although I've probably had most of the menu by now). Dominos is always a thin crust and I go half and half and make my own up putting on whatever I fancy at the time.

I always find fish and chips a bit of a let down. It's amazing from a good chippy at the seaside but then when you have it from your local chippy it's never as good and always leaves you feeling a bit disappointed.

Sushi

I quite like Chipotle for takeaway burritos etc but more locally to me we have a really good Chinese that delivers, or I do quite enjoy a Dominos pizza every so often.

I have, but I'm not as precious about animal by-products sneaking their way in there as some. The primary concern for me is that actual purchase of meat. Beyond that, I cut out what I can within reason eg. I wouldn't have roast potatoes cooked in goose fat but by the same token I won't insist a Subway guy changed his gloves.

I'm fairly certain I consume by-products via cheese, or roast potatoes cooked in goose fat in a restaurant or chips from a different chippy but I do what I can which is always better than doing nothing and the more I educate myself those things are slowly being phased out of my diet.

Just want to add the caveat that the first one I meant at home, whereas the second one I'm referring to eating out and it not being a deal breaker if a meal arrives with roasties.

Must you be 'that guy' though? Y'know, the guy so insecure that whenever someone lives their life by a moral code other than their own they feel obliged to bend over backwards to find holes or hypocrisy for... reasons, I guess.

Local Chinese does fantastic food - amazing starters and duck dishes so they're a regular.

Not a massive fan of Indian food but I do like a good Korma.
Become tempted by Thai food recently too. A nice creamy Thai Green Curry can be nice.
