Hello DS'rs, its Monday again so time for another week of EastEnders and I have to say, the past few weeks have been great. Kathy's return has been unmissable and Sharon has been at the top of her game. It's always great to see the icons take center stage and shows that despite their longevity, there is still so much potential to be. But before we look to the future, let's look at the past week

Caption Competition

In this section, I like to post an upcoming spoiler picture in which a character looks like they have their mind on something else, and so this week, I want you to tell me what Tamwar could be thinking of in the below picture
http://ichef.bbci.co.uk/images/ic/640xn/p02zjq14.jpg

For example: Tamwar-'Why did I pay £10 just to see this?'

And as always, the funnier, the better

IanMandy's Character Corner: Ronnie Mitchell

Ronnie has certainly had a hell of a journey during her time in Albert Square- fought off all 5,000 of Roxy's men and lost over double that in children. I think its safe to say that Ronnie was on a bit of a repetitive roundabout for a while during her first stint. However, going all Darth Vadar has certainly made the character stand out: everything from crushing Carl White and the whole 'Tommy, I am your mother' business. I really have liked Ronnie recently (even if I a getting a bit tired of 'I hate Roxy's boyfriend' verseion 20,000) and I think we need to see more villain Ronnie. Maybe she will ultimately be the one to be Vincent's downfall, and rule the square with those razor sharp cheekbones of hers. In short: Stop going around in circles and go all bad on Walford. I think that could easily boost her character. I do think thats its a bit odd we haven't seen too much of Matthew and Ronnie despite her desperation for a child so I hope this changes too

What do you think of Ronnie? Let me know in the comments and enjoy the episode

Sadly not We have nearly finished the block with the Cokers and Beale/Mitchell's. Now it's the turn of the masoods and the Carters, which I cannot say I am looking forward too. Tempted to tune out tbh.

I thought it would be longer tbh, only got one full episode and a couple of minutes of scenes on Friday's ep would of been nicer to have a bit more scenes of Kathy and Gavin

I'm glad the Cokers stuff is over was so boring, Masoods stuff looks decent, the Carters are just zzzzz cannot abide that rubbish anymore even though they've been on break it the same old crap!

Yeah I know, the Masoods plot should be engaging but will be ruined by Tina trying to get Shirley and Mick to kiss and make up. I just don't care about the Shirley/Mick relationship now.

I think Paul Nicholas is limited to how much he can film due to his theatre work.

This is what I fear, the Carter crap will override the Masoods storyline.

It's tainted them and it doesn't matter what they do, they pull out the same old rubbish for them, Mick and Linda are fine on their own but otherwise I give it a miss and watch on catch up I think.

Yeah I guess it would explain it.

Thanks for a fantastic OP IanMandy.

CAPTION: Just standing here randomly thinking of the Rude Masood videos I used to do while Kush tries to beat up my dad, his future father-in-law, for sleeping with his mum.

It's the Beales/Mitchells and Cokers i want to see. Stans missing ashes plot sounds more Corrie than EastEnders.

what happened to lee's depression how long ago was that started now? far to big a gap in between these storylines.

Sounds good, I don't read spoilers much anymore so out of the loop.

Block Storytelling is to blame, you have a few weeks of one or two storylines playing out then they switch over to another set so you have major gaps of no or little progress of plots.

I dislike block storyelling immensely. I love loads of different stories going on and that's why I really enjoyed DTC at the beginning. While stories are told very well for the most part the block stuff is annoying me now

I can understand them wanting a lighthearted plot to contrast the Madoods but they need to cut out this sort of farce.

Thanks everyone, hope you all appreciate that I made the effort not to forget this time

I think the Carters have had a really needed break but For me anyway, the damage is done. I find them hard to watch now, I do like Linda on her own and Nancy is ok but the others I have lost interest in. I do find it irritating that we had so many Coker episodes and we still havent learned Les's secret, and now we wont for a while as the Cokers are on a break. Theres a difference between teasing and repeating same drivel again in a misguided attempt to maintain interest
