Well imho how ridiculous. These 2 'current' stars take them or leave them - if you don't like them don't vote for them if 'current society flavour trend' is the issue then is there much difference between 2 singers and a reality star and a footballler's wife/model?

Why be so judgmental - just let be people be who they are and use your vote in the democratic process to vote for who you like.

In the above I'm referring to Marc and Abbey.

Jamelia and Peter Andre are hardly "current celebrities".. They may seem current due to the amount of outdated/unknown names there are this year though..

With their intermittent music careers, reality TV show and Loose Women I really fail to see how they couldn't be referred to as 'current'

Can you please name two "current" celebrities then (using your very precise definition of the word) just so that I understand your angle?

In referring to 'current' celebrity I am using the word in its correct context as in 'now'.

Jamelia has intermittent music projects and is currently one of the hosts of Loose Women and Peter has his music tours and reality shows.

Let's not get in a tango over terminology and interpretations

"Current" celebrities would be people who are being talked about/written about regulary or selling records or doing movies etc. Reality stars like the Kardashians,Made In Chelsea,Geordie Shore are "current" or members of One Direction,Little Mix,Ed Sheeran,Taylor Swift (obviously a few of these are unrealistic) Even regulars on British TV and newspapers like Michelle Keegan,Cheryl,Emma Willis,Holly Willoughby,Laura Whitmore,Jack Whitehall are "current". I personally wouldn't refer to an ex singer who's now a member of the Loose Women panel or Peter Andre who hasn't had a top 10 single/album in years as "current".. They're past it these days imo.

a) pretty much everyone on that list is extremely unrealistic and/or would be unavailable (you do realise Cheryl's doing the X Factor?) b) I'd take a thousand Jamelias over a Geordie Shore cast member, thanks.

A) I was simply asked to name "current" celebrities not who I'd want on the lineup. Did you not see me say these are "unrealistic"? I don't see how the British TV personalities I named would be unrealistic seeing as they're linked often and partake in many different British shows.
B) Well that doesn't differ from the fact that they are more current (the word used to describe Jamelia) in today's society then her and Peter.

Whether you like it or not Jamelia and Peter Andre are definitely current. You may not like the reality shows of Peter Andre, his TV adverts or his music career, still touring or indeed you may not like Loose Women of which Jamelia is a co-host. But these definitely make these stars 'current'.

I think we're more coming down to your personal not liking of these people/these shows. No one is saying they are massive stars but they are both pretty big names esp Peter. Like it or not
