No big changes though. Robin and Joanne are joining it as dance experts, (Joanne won't have a celebrity this year but she will be on The Children in Need and Christmas Specials, and I knew they wouldn't let Robin leave the show without anything)

Also there will be an extended hour long show on Friday, Zoe is still main presenter and Ian and Karen are still there too, i'm ok with the changes I think. This is from Tellymix http://www.tellymix.co.uk/reality-tv...ig-revamp.html

Quote:
“Strictly Come Dancing's spin-off show It Takes Two is back on BBC Two this autumn with more news and backstage gossip than ever before.

Dazzling host Zoe Ball returns to present the popular weeknight show with has undergone a revamp.

In addition to the regular daily half hour slice of Strictly news, we will now get a one hour Friday show, filmed in front of a live studio audience. The Friday evening show will have even more razzmatazz as it will be extended from half an hour to one hour to incorporate more exclusives, punditry and sparkle.

Each Friday, a familiar Strictly face will report live from Elstree Studios with exclusive backstage access to studio rehearsals ahead of the weekend’s main show. They’ll catch up with the celebrities, professional dancers, wardrobe department and all the team to get the latest news as it happens.

This year, viewers will get the chance to see even more from professional dancer Robin Windsor on It Takes Two as he joins Karen Hardy and Ian Waite in both studio and filmed reports.

Also announced today, Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Joanne Clifton has been confirmed as a regular dance expert on It Takes Two. Joanne will also appear in the Strictly Come Dancing Children in Need and Strictly Christmas Special.

Zoe said, “I can't wait to get back into the It Takes Two Glitterdome, my home from home, and dust off the sparkly shoes and jumpers and start grilling our glorious strictly Class of 2015 daily on their trials and tribulations and tangos - and what a line up so far!"

She added: "I’m thrilled that my gorgeous dance partner Ian Waite and our Queen of Choreography Karen Hardy will get to welcome Joanne Clifton and Robin Windsor to the bosom of our beautiful It Takes Two family. No rhinestone will go unturned. I love this job. I'm counting down the days…”

Joanne said, “So bloomin’ excited about my new role on Strictly Come Dancing, can’t wait to join the It Takes Two team and work with Zoe and the gang who are all ace! This is a childhood dream come true, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do…”

Robin said, “I'm thrilled that I'm returning to the Strictly family and I am really looking forward to bringing lots and lots of fun to It Takes Two this year - it's going to be an amazing series! I can't wait for it to get started.”

It Takes Two returns on weeknights on BBC Two from September while Strictly begins September 5 on BBC One.”

Why Joanne? WHY??!!!!!

The hour-long shows on Fridays were long overdue, in my opinion. I just hope they use the extra time wisely and don't just waste it on unnecessary "filler" stuff.

I understand your pain, but we could have had more Lisa Riley....

Hopefully someone will tell her to just calm down. She might be okay.

I find Joanne irritating if I am being totally honest and I really dont want to see her bounding about the ITT studio and backstage like a 4 year old child hyped up on sweets!

might be giving ITT a miss this time round - sadly

Does this mean that Robin and Joanne are the reserve dancers and they'll be filling up their contracted time with ITT?

Me too. Nightmare Jwaaannn and her bouncing hysteria.

Can't abide the ghastly Karen either with her mimsy, fluffy, OTT demented librarian on acid wardrobe. *shudders*

Robin never leaves the panto persona behind, so his contribution will not help one iota.

Can't handle it, won't endure it

Gosh, I do hope that is the case. I don't want to watch either one of them on the dance floor!

Can cope with Joanne on ITT. Glad she is not with a celeb. Sorry but she appeared out of her depth last year.

So we've got 5 presenters for 3 hours worth (maximum) of weekly programme time?

Joanne Clifton..why? She's like an extra from Balamory. I' m sure she's a nice enough woman but I cannot stand the "wackiness" and her wardrobe choices are beyond hideous. However, at least herself and "Bobby" won't be let near a celeb on the dance floor...thankful for small mercies.

I've never got the Kevin from Grimbsy love either.

I just miss Claudia's ITT. Ian's ok too. Could do without the rest - especially Karen. Amen sofacat! Can Joanne speak without babytalking?

A live audience? A live audience?! It Takes Two doesn't NEED a live audience, even for one show a week.

Otherwise looking forward to it coming back.

So much else going on the live audience bit went right over my head It doesn't need it but I'm sure fans will love it, the Friday show was always bedlam in a good kind of way I'm sure on more than one occasion the sofa guest's had a little tipple beforehand, It's good Friday viewing I hope they keep that vibe.

I really like Joanne, to be honest. She is the sort of person who loves children I'm though surprised that she is not doing the main show this year. Perhaps, the producers have thought she is better suited to being a dance expert.

Anyway, I'm very sure that her brother Kevin doesn't actually come from Grimsby but from a nearby village. Although for the purposes of the show, it is just easier to say he is a native of Grimsby.

It's OK -- the BBC use Cleethorpes when they go to film the From Grimsby bits anyway.

The trouble is that these days, producers seem to want to interact with live audiences, to a point where they have to be part of the programme by being behind or around the presenters. I fear that this is what will happen with ITT.

I suppose if I try very hard I can look on the bright side, the BBC have retired her after one season.
They probably had to find her some sort of job with the Clifton Clan watching.
Can't find a sinister emothingy so has to do.

Well, it worked for Wimbledon 2day. It did work, didn't it? That was a huge success?

Don't get too carried away - I wouldn't put it past teh producers to lull you into a false sense of security, and when you are least expecting it, BANG, Little Miss Funnity Fun Fun reappears from nowhere.

Didn't Russell Grant say a while back that he had been contracted to Strictly.? So is he going to be on ITT as well?

Please no super fan quiz
Sorry super fans, but I think you were short changed last year.

I suppose on the plus side - there is a maximum of 3 ITT hours a week to fill.
If you factor out the Monday look back, the celeb interviews, the Waites Wednesday, the choreography corner, the costume reveal, the Friday panel, the Friday behind the scenes and factor in the extra 2 presenters/segments we know of - then it doesn't actually leave an awful lot of time for ad hoc fun.

I've wondered for years why their Friday show wasn't an hour long.

Not that I'm gonna see it as I'll be working. I'm going to be catching up on all things Strictly on a Monday. The joys of working all over the weekend, eh?

I thought that she was out of her depth too. Not thrilled at the prospect of her being a permanant part of ITT either.

Sounds interesting, let's see how it pans out. It might take a few weeks to hit its stride.
