He would be welcome. Get him and Ben together.

Welcome by whom? Jane's messed up enough as it is, having the guy appear who was the cause of her not being able to have children would push her right over the edge.

He can return by all means, but not to get paired with Ben, for gods sake

Both are damaged, the correct writing could make for great viewing.

I like the idea, I'd also love to see the return of Vicki Fowler.

Ian Beale has lost too many relatives. A head of the family situation would be good for him.

Same. I wouldn't mind if they approached the previous actor. Draw a line over that stupid accent change and she was a decent actress IMO.

Could also bring back Spencer Moon as he's still with Vicki in Australia or New Zealand (can't remember which one). He'd need to be recast as I think Chris Parker no longer acts.

With Martin back and Stacey carrying a Fowler/Beale child (Martin's uncle was Pete Beale), seems like they could rebuild their presence on the Square.

Yes, forgot about Spencer.

I think it would be great to see Sharon with her sister, plus Vicki has huge links to the past, given her who her parents are.

There is also Mark Jnr, a completely unused character, as of yet.

I worry even if Mark Junior returned Phil Mitchell would barely care meaning that link is ruined like Liam Butcher and the Beales. Plus we have Ben Mitchell who has that link. The Beales and the Fowlers are the same difference.

Not unless he's recast. I hated the last incarnation of the character.

Why? The actor would return he told Inside Soap this year or last. I hated when he tried to kill his grandma Pat Evans.

I think Steven was in touch with the twins, but not Ian, Bobby, or Cindy.

I think Steven returning would be pretty good - but they should probably tone him down a bit (he's got treatment etc.)

It would be interesting to see him shake up the Beales again - especially if Peter's told him that Bobby killed Lucy. After all, Ian told him that he'd kill him if he ever went back to Walford - but that he was glad that he never produced anything as twisted as Steven - but Bobby is arguably worse.

Him and Ben would also be interesting - not necessarily as a couple - but if Steven has become comfortable with his sexuality, it would be interesting to see.

He's also the grandson of Pat, and had a fling, if that's the right word, with Stacey

I don't care that he would be willing to return. I found his performance as Steven very weak and unconvincing. But so was the writing for the character during that ridiculous period.

If the dwindling Beale clan are to have anymore additions, they really need strong ones.

To be fair to Sidwell, it was his first acting job. Chances are he's improved quite a bit - all he'd need is decent writing for the character

Sadly no.

Which is why even though he is an original character I dn't care about Ian Beale in the same may as Pat Evans, Pauline Fowler or even Mark Fowler. I can't imagine him as a caring grandpa.
