However, I think Vanessa should probably make a desperate deal with James / Meg and boot out Liz. Make an agreement to take out Julia / Austin next week. Her game is screwed anyway. She stands no chance of winning or getting to final 2 even though I want her to be there.

I also think James is a poor player but I hope he wins America's fave over the even bigger moron that is John. He is just dire to watch, so over him. The interview with Julie and the "I am targeting Meg" was just the icing on it for me.

John is a hopeless player, it's true. But how can he be a "moron" for targeting Meg, when Vanessa is a mastermind for doing the same?

Why take out Meg
Vanessa has a reason to try and keep Austwins around and play safe. I think she should gamble though and go after Liz. John seriously using his HoH to target Meg after he was evicted by Austwins is completely incomprehensible to me.
If Austwins put on too much pressure on Vanessa to nominate John, she may just decide to move on them now. Because her refusal is going to piss them off anyway.

Actually I get why Vanessa wants to target Meg. She is low on the totem pole and the longer Meg is around the more chance there is that she will be "pawned" against her and (ooops) lose.
John's nonsense is just that, nonsense. In his position, he should go for the throat: Liztin.
Vanessa has to see Austin is playing for himself. There is no way Austwins are ever going to keep John over Meg, no matter what they say to her now.
