Two new judges and somewhat new format to accomodate the Rugby World Cup this year

Goodbye Scary and Louis, hello Rita Kia Ora and Nick Grimshaw to the panel and goodbye Dermot O'Dreary as host and hello to new hosts Strictly winner Caroline Flack and also Olly Murs

Let's hope it's a series which is talked about for the right reasons as the countdown to Christmas officially gets underway

90 minute show tonight and 60 minute show tomorrow, with Xtra Factor on as always at the end of the main show on ITV2

Evening all and thanks for the thread.

Your countdown to Christmas starts right here...

Any betting it will be a joke act to get the series started

Forgot to say, if you have seen these auditions in person, please out of courtesy for those who don't know keep who you know goes through to yourself

Oh no! Not this crap again!

Why do i put myself through it every year. The big con that they are looking for X Factor when they just want a teenage pop star.

Missing Loo-Loo already and it's not even on yet.

Gets on my wick during the lives, but he's always game for a laugh and his reactions to things during the auditions has had me in stitches over the years.

I loathe Nick Grimshaw with an absolute passion!

So what qualifies Nick Grimshaw to judge people of ALL AGES and not just a radio 1 pop star?

Looking forward to seeing all these changes we've been promised. We'll probably hate them

Must nearly be Christmas, our local Tesco has tins of Heroes and Celebrations out already, and now the XFactor

What I expect is that they will put through silly little fit kids who can't sing in tune.

And I won't be disappointed as that's all they ever do.

Quite. Glorious retribution if he gets the overs, since Radio 1 barely even playlist anyone over the age of 25!

They're openly going for a parody this year then?

Might not necessarily be a bad thing.

Place your bets now: How long will all the pre-titles, waffle and real titles take and when will we actually get the first act?
