Does anyone know the spec difference between these 2 models:
Panasonic DMR-PWT530EB9
Panasonic DMR-PWT530EB

According to Amazon Panasonic DMR-PWT530EB9 is the later model, but places like Curry's and Apollo only stock and sell Panasonic DMR-PWT530EB. The price is very much the same for both models.

There's no such variation listed at Panasonic, only the DMR-PWT530 - extra letters at the end don't normally mean a different model, 'usually' just the same model for a different market, or perhaps a different colour?.

The DMR-PWT530EB9 is the latest model & they do exist. (https://goo.gl/photos/D8ZYQgqWnwG4Upek7) They replaced the 530EB a few months ago once the old stock ran out at Panasonic. Essentially they are the same machine (as are the HWT130EB/EB9, the HWT230EB/EB9 & the BWT740EB/EB9) with what I think is the only difference of Skype being removed from the box packaging. Panasonic seem to have fallen out with Microsoft (or the licence fess charged) and have removed Skype from their products and the app stores. Think the old kit still works fine so a 530EB should work with the camera and continue to give access to Skype, EB9's will not.
Have not seen any other differences as yet but there may be more, under the hood but nothing obvious as far as functionality goes.
