This. Exactly this ! People on here keep saying "oh everyone knows Leona can sing so a ballad won't do her any good", but I really don't think so. I think a lot of people have forgotten how talented Leona really is and one amazing vocal performance will remind them not just of her talent but her status all those years ago. Yes, we want people to see Leona doing something different but we also want them to be reminded of what she can do vocally.

Good update on HAC today - adds will come in later so hope Leona will get a few more. "Thunder" is now being played on 70 stations now (up 7 from yesterday). Things looking really good for Leona on HAC, should rise to #26 in a few days time.

Agreed. ALS is a simple, catchy track but far and away the least impressive song I've heard on the album.

I really think Def Jam should send a single to Top 40 radio ASAP. It's going to take a long time to climb, not sure what they're waiting for. If the song doesn't have radio backing, promo on shows like Ellen won't have much effect.

I doubt they had any high expectations as it's her first real single in US since 2009. It's doing fine on HAC and just entered the Top 30 there.

I think they're holding off on Top 40 so that the album continues to sell after it's released. They'll probably send Thunder for adds by end of September, and as Thunder continues to rise the album could potentially rise as well as Thunder becomes popular.

The label will clearly have a plan for Top 40 on radio, but man I wish we knew what it was, even I am becoming impatient about them sending it.

FUMF still slowly rising in Germany, climbed into the top 300 yesterday and is currently at #238 just now. Hopefully it will go top 200 soon.

I hope radio is on board with her out there and when she goes over to promote, the song actually connects and does well.
