The performance was a mess as a thing. There was nothing wrong with Leona but the whole thing just didn't work. Leona was good and did her job fine it's just that their voices didn't blend well at all/Ben sounded awful/Ben ruined Run/it shouldn't have even been Run.

I think we can see from that Fluer/Little Mix performance where all their efforts went though...

Yeah I didn't think of that. If it's hard for us then it must feel worse for Leona. I know she says she doesn't care but I bet she wanted to be performing her new material up there.

rewatched it again the ending was indeed a little bit off but she recovered and ben .....what can i say - cant he afford a vocal teacher?

Just re-watched the performance. I think it was better than what I thought. And really got to see that Ben's "harmonies" is what made it sound out of tune. But it was also obvious that Leona's voice is going through something. Now let's hope the public miraculously becomes aware of "I Am" and buys it and she charts higher than Adele next week.

When you compare Ben and Leona's performance to Fleur and Little Mix's....

Anyway, glad to see loads of people talking about Leona on twitter/her profile being risen a bit more with the tour coming up.

Can't wait for her xmas performance of "Oh Holy Night" and hope she's on a couple more TV shows the next week or so!

Yeah she definitely seemed a lot moe confident and at ease when singing in the US. She seemed a bit uneasy tonight but sounded great at times as well.

The support for Leona on Twitter is incredible. Love what Rita said as well. Such a massive shame how Ben just sang over Leona, but what Leona sang sounded absolutely Amazing.

Well coming back to X after what happened wasnt going to be easy.
Plus that super mini version of Run was tricky, Leona had to begin singing the chorus suddenly and then the big finale kicked in. Not many artists would have done better

Also with Ben i actually liked him on the show last year and he sounded great live when i was at the final last year, it shocked me, but literally ever since anytime i've heard him perform he's sounded AWFUL.

Ye, it was a rather big performance. You could hear the nerves at parts but she was singing the ending of the song so well, until Ben started doing these weird screams and I think that put her off a bit.

At the end when she did the G#5-C#6 run, she went a bit flat and hit a C6 instead and the run down off that was a bit wobbly/you could hear her nerves on it.

The belt at the end she sustained was an Eb5 - it had really good vibrato but sounded shaky and thin - again likely due to nerves.

I think Leona will be fine on tour. When she's relaxed she really shines and I'm sure she'll be giving us great performances then - not to mention tours are great ways of training/building up your voice.
