This is the type of moment Leona Lewis should've been allowed to have yesterday.

Seriously, who the **** is voting for James Arthur on the favourite X Factor winner article?

Simon was on Xtra Factor talking about Louisa being amazing but then did admit he exaggerates sometimes, so maybe that was in reference to him saying she was the best ever.

Watching the Leona Ben duet again
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3h...rs-and-run_fun

It doesn't look as bad just Ben made a couple of mistakes trying to do high notes apart from that Leona sounded great not the best performance they got back on track near the end.

I haven't heard the contestants' performances but Leona is simply the most outstanding singer. Just listen to her debut album and you will hear young Whitney/Mariah.

Leona trending on iTunes- but when I Am isn't even near the top, so people won't even see it straight away

Also Jahmene is so right... Leona needed a moment like that .. And hope she has a platform where she could do that .. With I Am music or potential new music

It's Jahmene Douglas. And he was runner up to James Arthur.

In relation to Adele's performance.

Thanks. I think we all can agree on what he said.
I didn't love Adele's performance, she looked and sounded nervous

I think now that Louisa has won Simon will try and create Spirt era with her.

It didn't really work with Ella but hes hoping it will for louisa.

She is great for 17 though.

Simon is always trying to force and create the next "X, Y, Z" artist. Simon was really lucky to have found Leona to be honest, he should be more grateful to her.

And with the way he's signing up new artists, he's never going to find the next Adele, Leona, Coldplay etc. It'll be the next derivative "X, Y, Z" artist. Not taking anything away from Louisa because she's extremely talented, but she definitely doesn't have a clue what's in store for her with Syco. The first couple of years might be amazing but give it 2 or 3 years when the label gets bored of you and you'll be treated exactly the same way as everyone else.

EDIT: I've also just watched Adele's performance. She was quite pitchy. Makes me feel better about Leona.

Totally agree with this post. Funnily enough after Louisa won, I said to my parents "Simon has now got Louisa, Ella, Fleur and Tamera signed to him and he cannot cope, he needs one to focus on while the others get pushed to the side" - it'll be interesting to see who his golden girl is.

To me, that's all X Factor has EVER been about, who can be marketed as the "next" whoever. They tried to make Leona the next Mariah....but Leona is Leona. She's far more original than people have ever given her credit for in my opinion. It wouldn't surprise me if they try and recreate Leona with Louisa, but maybe like a younger version. Even Popjustice spoke about Ella Henderson's launch as "the new Leona".

You think about it with Syco though, there is never any originality to them. Leon Jackson was pitched as the British Michael Buble, Shayne Ward was going to be the UK's Justin Timberlake, Ray Quinn was going to be a modern day Sinatra with the Big Band music. I even saw Sinitta say on Twitter that Fleur is the modern day Janet Jackson (yes, really). Ironic because Sax is the biggest Uptown Funk rip off I've ever heard. They weren't even subtle about it.

The whole success behind 1D was the timing. It was 2010 and Bieber was blowing up. The whole plan for that year was about putting together five Justin Bieber's.

The list goes on. Syco have proved now, for twelve series of X Factor that they don't have an ounce of originality in them.

So true. They literally put Shaynes career on hold for years because JT had stopped making music and they didn't know what direction to take. I've never been more glad that Leona left Syco than this weekend.

Eh no, they put Shayne's career on hold because they signed Leona and all focus went on launching her. They weren't copying JT's career move by move.

Syco are a small label and can't focus on that many acts, hence why Alex jumped ship as she felt she was being pushed aside, hence why Leona was being left dangling as the focus moved to 1D.

Tamera has been getting pushed back and pushed back because they are too busy to launch her, they keep signing new acts, I feel like Fleur sort of replaced the position Syco thought Tamera would fill at their label.

Also Leona and Adam's duet is up to 100,000 views.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmdmhHQkiK0

That is a video that went up a day or two later, others had thousands of views too but were removed. I wish they put an official one up somewhere straight away to see what the view count would have been.

"Thunder" lyrics are totally about SYCO.

And I won't wait any longer,
When you left me down I got stronger,
If you wonder 'bout the lightning,
I'm on the horizon,
Well, I'm coming back with the thunder

Really can't wait to hear Leona perform it on tour!

Also excited to hear her perform "Oh Holy Night" live on TV! Plus the cover and the possibility that we'll be getting new music after the tour!

No one from the X Factor will ever have a Spirit era - the show is too past it for that now. Louisa, if she is VERY lucky, may have an album that sells over 100, 000 copies next year, but honestly, I'd say that's unlikely.

No one from the X Factor has had a Spirit era in the UK, not even One Direction. So Simon can try all he likes with Louisa, it's not gonna happen.

I can't wait for the tour and then to see what is to come, I hope we don't have too long await. It would be amazing if Def Jam are planning on releasing a new single as soon as she wraps up the tour.

Oh wooooow very accurate analysis; I really wonder who his "golden girl" would be as well... I feel quite sad for the rest I wonder who alexandra Burke was pitched as...

I think I remember Jahmene being an awesome big-voiced singer however I like him even more after his comment ! With enough promotion and performances on monumental shows and platforms Leona can easily be massively successful worldwide again! Oh and without "whonows" performing with her ; that could annihilate her chances of conquering the world again.

The #1 article on Mail Online

They ALWAYS compare the new people to Leona. QUEEN.

EDIT: oh never mind they've changed the title haha

Please, when Leona released Spirit the show wasn't even in it's peak (2010).

I don't think y'all understand how record labels work. Every label has that one big act which they throw tons of money at for - promotion, albums, videos, tour - after they make bank from the BIG artist they pass on the profit to the other lesser acts or new talent. Some artist suffer and are left to defend their careers, but it's a natural occurrence in the music industry.
