I just watched Leona and Ben's performance; as many of you stated he really did ruin the duet. However unlike some of you claiming Leona was only a tad off, if you listen to their duet carefully Leona was absolutely impeccable. In fact ever since the minor issues she's had with her voice; this is one of the best performances she's giver. Her voice was soo strong, powerful and she displayed such effortlessness through her vocals! Some of you claimed that the acapella part was a bit shaky, however it actually wasn't (she was smiling at one point of it, so cute ), also some of you mentioned that she was a bit off on final high note however this is actually false; she was very spot on Ben was the one who was extremely off so if you're not careful you start to associate his bum note with her impeccable note. Listen carefully and you'll hear how great she sounded; a bad voice/vocal can truly ruin a great one in a duet! Shame on you Ben! Leona even said thank you in the end (she's so kind and humble) as well as signaling the audience to applaud from him when he should have rather said thank you as well as sorry multiple times to Leona, The Judges, The audience, The hosts and the viewers for putting them through such a travesty and for making such an impeccable voice (that of Leona's) be misconstrued, as having delivered a not so impressive vocal.

Louisa's performances were great but Simon stating that in all his years (doing these shows) he has never heard something so great as what she "just did" gets on my nerves because many of Leona's performances were much better than Louisa's and I'm saying this objectively based on aspects of vocal deliver such as Power, restraint, effortless vocal register transitions, utilization of different registers of the voice (I don't think I've really heard Louisa using her head voice...) breath control etc. I feel like Simon's trying to rake in as much money as he can from her soo he's hyping her as much as he can! Also Leona's not under his label anymore so no wonder he's trying to find a replacement/"golden girl"... Also I kinda feel like the show was rigged I mean how could Reggie 'N' Bollie be Runner Up of all the contestants. I feel like they wanted to make sure that Louisa wins because she has a lot of talent but most importantly she is the most marketable and very young thus impressionable so they have time to mold her into what they want her to be. So they got rid of all forms of real competition to give her a clear path to victory... Lauren and Che would have really given her a tough time; even Adele said her favorite was Lauren!

I just listened to Louisa's new single. Leona and Louisa definitely don't sound alike. I do hear a bit of Leona, but what I hear most is Jessie J, Adele, ....

We survived everybody and Louisa is just one of them . Nothing to worry about. She's very young and her voice reminds me of Christina/Jessie yes but the most important thing is how they handle her career and what they'll be able to do for her and with her. Good luck to her

Now back to Leona. I think she could go more in steps of Hurts(the first album)/Troye Sivan contemporary kinda dark kinda uplifting music.

The X Factor: I think Ben really lost his way during that performance. I'm not sure if he just couldn't catch the key but some of the notes were really quite off unfortunately. Leona was good. It was shaky but nothing that I think viewers at home would catch onto so that's good news. From her voice, I'm 100% convinced it's nodules at the moment but that debate has gone on a million times. Louisa wasn't as good as usual last night but she was still great. Her vocal health seems tenuous so I don't know how she'll do in the future. For me, she hasn't got the dynamics that used to make Leona's performances so special but she's really, really exceptionally talented as a vocalist. There's room for all of them. I hate it when people on here start lambasting vocalists like Louisa, Adele etc. It just makes everyone look bitter and jealous. Be kind, wish everybody success.

EDIT: I've just read back those pages and, oh my god, cut the bitterness about Louisa. She's probably not better than Leona was on The X Factor, for me, but for others she will be. This isn't an obvious and objective issue. Louisa and Leona are not objectively better than one another. They've both got sick and very different voices good for both of them, congratulations. Simon, if you prefer Louisa that's fine. Stop the hate everybody, it's gonna be okay!

I think if you go in incognito modus you can vote again, but you'll have to close it and go back in incognito to vote again

Stop it, Saint Virtuoso. Forums aren't your place if you can't handle this.
If it's okay to drag Leona in her own appreciation thread then I honestly don't see why we can't talk about similar artists.

No one is bitter or jealous if they express their opinion, I think it's you who always preached that everyone is allowed to say their opinion. Practice what you preach..

Main headline on daily mail with the big banner is "she'll be bigger then Leona" seriously it's getting irritating now

Bigger than her current situation? Yes, but not bigger than Spirit era. I really don't think so. Ella has a special voice, had a good song but she isn't bigger than Leona either. Alexandra didn't do it either. Leona's talent is really rare

really can`t see that happening If a supremely talented artist the likes of Leona has difficulty I can not see Louisa doing any better
it appears to me an extremly outgoing personality hitting people between the eyes is more important to the masses than a perfect voice

Early New Year's resolution. I am going to try to focus on Leona as a singer and try not to get too hung up on her mass appeal. She may or may not get another mainstream hit, but she can still give me a lot of pleasure because I love her voice. And I remain impressed by her handling of the roller coaster she has been on. She is a sweet and genuine person who tries her best to handle her career with integrity and decency.

Somebody posted Leona's duet with Adam in the main forum. I watched it again and enjoyed it again.

It also brought home to me the difference between the awful, competition driven X Factor atmosphere and an atmosphere that celebrates and enjoys music.

What I wish for Leona going forward is that she continues to get opportunities to really sing with musicians who are sensitive to her voice and allow her to continue to develop as a singer.

She has done that far more this year than she did in the whole of the Spirit era.

I heard next season will be X Factor over and i really can not wait. I have actually be so bored with Leona known as an X Factor Star and tbh i know they got her her break.. But i really believe if she didnt sign up to X Factor someone would have picked her up and who knows where shell be now?

Idk, The whole X Factor is such a terrible show now and its not just about the singing. I believe SImon said all that just to hype the girl up as much as possible before the show ended. I wish her all the success. She is young, so she will appeal and radio will play her i am sure.

But yes after this album i have lost interest in leonas world wide appeal which ive been craving for for 5? years now on these forums. I am just going to enjoy her music.

I do however hope that DeafJam find her a hit. All it will take is Leona to have her first single a HIT single and then the success will come. Its why its taken Rihanna so Long with this album i read. They are looking for that one single that would push her latest album as the first single really does matter.

We need someone to choose songs for Leona that really work with her voice and we need a lot of different view points on the next album. Not just leona and one guy. its not enough.

I have been away from my PC for a couple of days so have taken some time to catch up.

All of our hopes about multiple performances from Leona were dashed with her having to perform on Ben's new single (I thought it was called Slamming Doors, but didn't pick up that from the lyrics). Then if she was not allowed to perform a song from her current album why couldn't they have done OMS rather than Ben trying to ruin Run?

I was amused by the duet between Louisa and Rita, which to me came across as an extract from The Voice where two contestants do a sing-off against each other. IMO Louisa completely floored Rita who was out-sung.

As we have nearly reached 10,000 posts we may automatically get a new Part, but I have asked for one anyway.
