It will certainly be a success and could sell between 7 to 10 million, the hype is there with her. But people with think that's a flop compared to 21.
She's not a person to be out grabbing news every week or saying it's going to be the album of the decade unlike another artist. Another thing, it will push 19 and 21 again and possible reach 50 million sales with just 3 albums. |

It will do incredibly well off the back of 21's huge success, even if it's not very good. Everyone is waiting and anticipating it. The problem she will have will be with her fourth album. If her third album doesn't live up to all the hype, then she'll be in trouble with album four.
Coldplay are supposed to be one of Britain's biggest bands of the last 15 years yet Ghost Stories didn't sell bucketloads. |

The thing is, it's hard to know what it has to do to 'live up to the hype' in terms of quality because 21 wasn't exactly a remarkably great album anyway. So she could put out something just as good and it may be labelled as a disappointment simply because people aren't really feeling it like they did at the time 21 came along.
21 is probably remembered by the general population as being far better than it actually is just because of the sales figures and the hype surrounding them. |

I actually think it will sell 1/4 of what 21 did with the struggling sales of the music industry at the moment.
But then again, it was like that when she released 21! If the album comes early next year and she secures herself a spot on the Brits stage with a piano ballad, maybe she could do it again?? |

No one really knows though!!!! Frozen soundtrack is heading for 11million, Ed's X just passed the 10million, Sam 8.5million and the same with Swiift.
21 is in the IFPI for 2014 at #87, that's 4 years running and 450K. |

The album is 'okay'. But IMO, 'Set Fire To The Rain' is one of the greatest songs of all time, seriously. 4 years on, I listen to that song regularly on my IPod, and never just the once, I need to go back and hear it two or three more times. It's the song as well not just Adele, cause I enjoy cover versions of it too like David Unger's.
It's the greatest song released this century for me. She'll never match it. |

there hasn't actually been any news she's about to release the new album, not accompanied by any quote or anything that might give the rumour substance. The same goes for reports about touring or not.
On the other point I'm not sure she's any more or any less relevant now than she was in 2010, her music wasn't what was considered 'current' then either. However it seems doubtful, sales have had another 4 years of downward trajectory since then, and i'm not convinced she'll be over keen on the idea of promoting the thing. |

Last year, Adele was quoted as saying something about her voice still being fragile and that she would do a concert or two or 3 to promote the album but no tours and no stadiums or arenas.
No interviews since then, anything else was just press made up stories. |

That's so incorrect, she hasn't done an interview really since the Oscars. There's a video of her saying she was going on tour then her throat happened, was due to tour after the operation but then became pregnant.

She'll need to freshen it up a bit not going too poppy though, or I can't see it doing as well as the previous 2.

15 tracks have been chosen for the CD to go into production and could very well be released in late October.

It would be nigh on impossible for it to emulate the success of 21. I'm looking forward to the countless people who'll no doubt declare it a flop because it 'only' sells fifteen million worldwide.

Let's be honest, she probably doesn't need to ever work again so why rush things?

Since the news that Adele is about to release an album very soon, could we see her matching the success of 21?The argument could be that she might not be as relevant as she was and the fact that music has definitely changed in terms of genre. Music that dominates charts is dance and electronic. However these days music sales have declined so could we see Adele reaching the sales targets of what 21 broke?

It's hugely anticipated.
It's going to do amazing, no matter how good it is. Will it match 21? I don't think so. Album success like 21 usually only comes once in an artists lifetime. They can be hugely successful with other albums, but they get defined by that one and for Adele it's 21. I remember Mark Ronson on This Morning a couple of months back, and they asked him something like will his next single be as big as Uptown Funk. He said it himself, a song (or in Adele's case, an album) only comes like once or twice in an artists career. I still think it will be a huge success though. Like already mentioned on here though, it's how album #4 will do that will be interesting. |

It was on Hits Daily Double the other day, they got the track list down to 24 or 25. Then chose the final cut from that. And it seems like they have.
So yes, it could drop next month as a digital release. |

New Album, New Deal, New Fleet of TV Looks Set to Dominate Q4
The long-awaited return of XL/Columbia’s Adele is slated for 11/20, and is naturally expected to have a seismic impact on the remainder of the year. Expect the leadoff single to drop in the first or second week of November. The forthcoming album is the last on Adele’s Sony/XL deal; insiders say she has already inked a new worldwide deal with Sony, said to be valued at more than $50 million. The British superstar has inked a lockout deal with NBC for four big TV looks, including The Today Show, SNL, a dedicated special and one more appearance TBA (possibly Fallon). The exclusive deal will not, however, prevent Adele from appearing on the 2016 Grammys. Adele’s 2011 set 21 has sold 11.1 million copies (13.5m+ with TEA) in the U.S. thus far, and more than 30m worldwide. |

It'll be a massive success will it do 21 sales most likely not as a number of people have said 21 numbers only happen once or twice to an aritist if there lucky but still saying that it'll do big numbers so yes it will be a success
