Eastenders really excelled tonight with the stillbirth plot. So emotional, raw, true to life and hard hitting. The writing and acting has superb and I think viewers really felt with that plot.

Tonight was EE at its best. Hard hitting gritty drama that reflects real life. Brilliant stuff. Davood, Rhakhee, Bonnie, Nitin & others portrayed it very, very well.

I felt so uncomfortable watching and I like being made uncomfortable watching television shows because then I know that what has happened on the screen, it has hit me emotionally and opens my mind up on that these things really do happen.

Bonnie Langford really surprised me. I've only ever seen her in jolly high-kicking jazz hands roles but tonight she was brilliant in a more serious storyline.

Everybody, however, have been exceptional

So good to see it not rushed and solely about them
That made it absolutely shine

After the live week, the only really good stuff has come from the Mitchells, the Beales and the Brannings. Also the tail end of Kat and Alfies' story (particularly the convent episode).

But outside of that group of top level families, I think the Masoods have delivered this brilliantly. Even their stories were a bit dull in the previous months but this stillbirth storyline seems to be shaping up to their biggest plot since Syed's sexuality getting revealed.

This episode just proves, imo, why EE is by far the best soap for drama, no other soap comes near it, imo course.

It takes a lot to make me cry at something on TV, but when she held the baby in her arms, I imagined seeing his little face and I just broke down in tears.

Very powerful scenes. My heart broke for Shabnam, Kush, and their families. The sister of a close friend of mine had a stillbirth recently. Her story was a bit different from Shabnam's (premature labor that couldn't be stopped, baby died on the way out), but I'm sure her experience was no less terrible. I feel for all parents who have to go through this.

EastEnders with it's feet firmly back on the ground. It was a treat after some of the farcical episodes we've been getting. The acting and writing were top notch.

It was a brilliant episode, so sad, brilliant acting, the worse part for me was when Kush said goodbye to his son, not usually the soppy type but was close to tears then, so sad. Well done to all concerned.

Tonight I didn't watch an episode of a soap I watched a mini drama about how the death of an unborn child can devastate a family. IMHO it really was that good.

The nonsense I watched on ED and CS was soap acting, tonight EE blew a lot of dramas out of the water with a powerful script and superb acting. Not one line was wasted, the silences were painful, the humour (what there was) was gentle, and the love story between Tam and Nancy underneath it all was subtly done.

I cannot praise all those who were involved in tonight's EE highly enough as it really was that good.

Bravo.

It was. Had a lump in my throat. Davood's performance with baby broke my heart

Well done to today's cast.
