The greatest ABBA album ?

I have always loved The Visitors, although it contained only one major UK hit single (One Of Us) it has the sublime title track and the beautiful Slipping Through My Fingers and Like An Angel Passing Through My Room.
Their most mature album and final studio album, a reminder of what might have been.

The Visitors is an excellent album, I love the dark brooding feel to it about war, love and loss. Not just Abbas best record but one of the best pop albums out there, I often feel it's overlooked. Voulez Vous and Super Trouper are also in my top 3

I agree 'The Visitors' is a superb album, the title track and 'One Of Us' would easily be in my 'Top 10 ABBA tracks' ever type list. But, album wise, I'd rate that number 3. My favourites are 'Arrival' and 'The Album'. And even though its got the dire 'Thank You For The Music' on it, I'd probably rate 'The Album' number one as for me, everything else on it is excellent.

The Visitors is a good album & usually one of the first I listen to when I'm in an Abba mood. My favourite album is Voulez Vous

Wonderful to see some love for The Vistors. I always thought it was underrated.

The Visitors, Super Trouper and Arrival. I can't decide on my favourite though! The Visitors has amazing songs like "Soldiers" and "Slipping Through My Fingers", Super Trouper has "The Piper" and "Me and I" and Arrival is full of happier optimistic pop like "Dum Dum Diddle" and "Tiger". It's a toss between The Visitors and Super Trouper, for me!

The Visitors would be perfect were it not for the cringe inducing Two for the Price of One. And to think that got on the album when the B sides Cassandra and Should I Laugh or Cry were left off. What were the boys thinking? So for me Super Trouper just edges it though Voulez Vous is a flawed masterpiece (flawed because they left Summer Night City off their 'disco album' but included the mawkish I Have a Dream and Chiquitita).

I always kind of liked that Summer Night City was a stand alone single .. it kind of set the scene for what was to come. However i do agree about I Have A Dream (though i wish it had been Xmas number one).

For me, it's Arrival. The members were so happy (with themselves, their partners) and it really shows in the music.
I did like most of the tracks o the Visitors. However, I always thought 'Two for the price of one' and 'Head over heels' were very b-side.

I agree about I Have a Dream being mawkish, but Chiquitita is beautiful and deserves its place on the album.

An ABBA album wouldn't be complete without one or two ballads. I know some people think VV should have been all upbeat disco songs, but I don't think Chiquitita ruins it like some think it does.

Voulez-Vous just pipped Super Trouper for me. ABBA: The Album is my third favourite.

Super Trouper is one of the best pop LP's ever, not a single weak track
