I just think if he a was a women you would all be hating him like Jenna/Farrah but because he's a man and is aesthetically pleasing then it's okay for him to act the way he did in tonight's show? His game plan is definitely working on the public then...
Your right of course.

He has done more bitching (along with his sidekick James) than Farrah has done, and yet hardly any mention of it on here.

He and James has been stirring up anti Farrah and Jenna feeling in the house but yet it gets overlooked.

BiB- I've not been watching religiously so I may have missed some of this torrent of bitching you're saying he's done but...

The difference, as I see it, is that what bitching he *does* do is delivered with a modicum of wit and humour, and without taking himself particularly seriously. That makes him somewhat endearing as opposed to Farrah, who takes herself VERY SERIOUSLY INDEED, which therefore translates as being obnoxious.

I actually really like him which has shocked me!
He's interesting because he is so in tune with how ridiculous the Americans are
but also has that more American ballsiness which means he's willing to engage in a fight, which the British won't.

Doubt he'll last long though as he's been too confrontational and I don't think he's the type the general public will warm too.

I like him. He has a sense of humour. Unlike the other Americans. I like his friendship with James and I think we would see some fun and humour going on if it weren't for all the shouty women sticking their oars in where they're not needed.

This is the thing about him that I don't like. These American 'fights' always drift off the subject and end up with them shouting unrelated hurtful things at each other. Out of the Americans, it's only Scoop and Baldwin who don't do it.

I really like Austin.

He likes to argue which is ultimately gonna be his downfall. However, when he does raise his voice I actually agree with all his points. James is a good influence on him, and will bring out his best side.

I don't mind him. He's one of my least unfavourite Americans this year.

Love the guy. He's the voice of reason and actually a nice person without the overwhelming ego of some of the other characters in the house. James certainly brings out his best qualities and their friendship is cool to watch.

Farrah and Janice see him as a threat and instantly go for him, however all Austin has to do is wait for Farrah and Janice to properly clash and watch the two of them self-destruct.

I have no idea who he is but he is bringing the drama to the show and that is good enough for me. He is probably getting paid the least but is the one keeping the show entertaining.

I think he's a good HM so far. He doesn't annoy me at the very least which is what seems to matter more than anything when I have to watch them. That Farrah is annoying beyond belief. She's not good viewing, she's not controversial, she's not entertaining. She's just an idiot that makes me want to turn the TV off.

I don't mind him but he lost ground for me by snubbing Janice's apology. That felt churlish and had undertones of some point scoring agenda. I am now a bit suspicious of him.

Lol yes any housemates accused of bringing drama up into the house are instantly accuaed of being actors so all the boring peple must be genuine
