Because she comes across as a smarmy, pompous arrogant woman and the fact that people can't accept that not everyone is going to be impressed by some unknown part time violinist only enhances my dislike of her.

And I'm sure it was explained to the poster, numerous times on the celeb rumours thread by other posters that Katie has had a long and successful broadcasting career which includes national news....yet because the poster has never heard of her they seem to keep on insisting she's unknown.

Hi, it wasn't me that described her as that it was the poster 'dancing.queen'.... The poster has blocked me so .perhaps she'll take notice of your post and realise that Katie Derham is a successful broadcaster......but I wouldn't hold out too much hope

Ironically Katie is one of the few I'd heard of, this year. But then I'm middle-aged, middle-class just like Katie so my opinion doesn't count

She looks like she's got a touch of the Susannah Reids about her. A bit smug and full of herself. Didn't look too bad in the group dance but I think her and Anton as a couple could be really annoying.

Surprised this wasn't a more positive Katy thread, as my first impressions away from her more serious newsreader image, was that she looks amazing, seemed naturally effervescent and lovely and could dance too!
