EastEnders Survivor 2015: THE RESULTS
SoapAddict101
31-08-2015
Evening everyone for a final time this year...

The votes have been counted and verified, but before I reveal who has won this years competition, let me take you through some fun statistics that have appeared since we began the process all the way back in February!

+ Stacey Branning achieved the almost unachievable this year, managing to go a huge 17 rounds in a row from the beginning without getting a vote! This has set a new record for Survivor, and somehow, I don't think it'll be beaten next time.

+ The highest voting round was Round 12 with 153 votes. This was the round we said goodbye to last years runner up Nancy Carter and also a top five last year Mick Carter

+ The character who has received the most votes to evict over the course of the competition is Sharon Mitchell with a whopping 191 votes! She may still have her haters, but it was never enough to evict her in each individual round (it was mostly a small number of votes each round that has added up to a huge total), she has managed to reach the final two, and who knows? Maybe she won the whole thing! We'll find out soon.

+ The award for most votes to evict in one round goes to Linda Carter with 29 votes in Round 26. However, this was mostly due to not many characters being left.

+ The biggest drop of this years competition goes to Shirley Carter, dropping from 5th place last year down to the bottom of the pile in 57th! A drop of 52 places. A huge, and surprising drop for a character that divides us all...

+ The biggest rise of this years competition goes to...well, let's find out

DS Forum Members have been voting since February 2015, the beginning of anniversary week and I am so overwhelmed by the response this year, especially since we are in our new home of the games room. I can't thank you all enough for voting and making this so enjoyable! Now here's the moment you've been waiting for, the winner of EastEnders Survivor 2015 is...

**** SHARON MITCHELL ****

DS you have voted our very own Walford Princess Sharon Mitchell as this years winner! She takes a HUGE rise of 44 places to the No. 1 spot with 52.5% of the vote! A triumph! It shows how DS have taken Sharon back into their hearts after an amazing year on-screen, she may still have her doubters but her fanbase is clearly growing stronger.

So of course, that means Carol Jackson settles for 2nd place for what will be her last Survivor (for now). She takes a 11 place rise from 2014 and the poor woman only just missed out with 48.5% in the final vote! However, as a Carol and Sharon fan I'm so pleased for both of their performances this year.

Your welcome!

I didn't expect it at all either, considering her disastrous performance in last years competition! It's a real triumph for Sharon though, and it really shows how much progress has been made with the character over the past year.

Yes Shazza! Such a big jump from last year, can't believe she made it into the final two let alone won!

Well done and thanks for all your hard work running this

Long may it continue. I'm off to the Albert to celebrate. I'm not drinking, just going to try and swing a cat in there to see if I can.

I love that Sharon got the most votes to be evicted in the overall competition but she managed to win . I love Queen Sharon and although she has her doubters, she has lots of supporters on here

Amazing that Sharon received the most votes to evict over the course of the competition and still won. What a leap! Deserved winner. Well done Shazza.

Stellar job SoapAddict101. A lot of time and effort has gone into this over the past 7 months. Much appreciated!

Thanks SoapAddict101! You've done a sterling job.

Although I was pleased with the leaderboard, I'm a bit disappointed by the winner, especially the small margin between the top 2. I honestly thought Carol would have done it, she deserved it more, in my opinion. But there you go. Some pretty good results anyway.

Thanks again and catch you later in the forums.

Because lots of people like her in this forum. She has her detractors but Sharon is a legend. I expected Carol or Stacey to win tbh.

Sharon is just a character I feel indifferent about most of the time.
Rest of the time I cannot stand her. Acting is average at best too.

i feel like Carol should of won tbh or Stacey.
If shabs had not been out after last weeks episoders alone she wpuldnof deserves a top

"Amazing that Sharon received the most votes to evict over the course of the competition and still won"....Strange! I personally think that Lindsey Coulson (Carol) is a much better actress but there you go.

As specifically mentioned in the OP, while Sharon received the most amount of evict votes over the whole competition - in each individual round the votes she got were never high enough to get her evicted. As shown in the final vote, it was still a close call as while Sharon's detractors voted for Carol, Sharon's fanbase still came through and managed to get her the win.

IMO, Sharon is a very deserving winner as while the likes of Shabnam were good last week, taking the whole year since the last competition into account I'd still say those who ranked above her deserve it.

You may be disappointed with the final result, but Sharon won fair and square in the final vote, but there's always next year for your personal favourites!
