Georgia is from Bolton/Manchester area hence why she was in Corrie.

I thought Carol and Katie were good fun too and was a bit surprised at Katie because I thought she' be quite reserved, but she seems really up for it!

Carol seemed quite jolly but don't agree about Katie. She seems a bit bland and boring. Think she'll be hard to warm to.

I much prefer Alison. I love her genuine warmth, and she's quite quick at thinking on her feet in interviews and such.

When is the coverage this year?

I'm not 100% sure, but think it is 3rd Sept. I expect they'll be advertising it every five mins this week!

If they follow the same schedule as last year, then the Red Button coverage will be aired the day after it's filmed, i.e. the 31st (the day the launch show is filmed).

So to access that do you just press the red button on your remote, even if there isn't a message on your live tv screen inviting you to do so? Or can you access it more easily from iPLayer?

Does anyone know if you'll be able to watch this on IPlayer after it's been on the red button as I'll miss it on Wednesday?

My red button channel has a lot of Reading Festival in the schedule and Strictly on Thursday as reported above.

Are we any the wiser? The BBC website says 31st August...

There are quite a few pics from the red carpet event appearing tonight on social media, including the official SCD Instagram and Twitter pages. Not overly impressed with the outfits and overall look of the celebs so far I'm afraid - and Louise seems to be getting dressed like a granny.

Not if you see a picture of her dress from the back! It's still a hideous dress though.

Outfits are generally awful, including for the pros. Anastacia and Laura are the only ones who look half-decent - halterneck style doesn't suit Naga, Lesley's has far too high a split on the thigh, apparently wardrobe think Claudia is 10 and are dressing her like a Barbie doll accordingly, and the less said about Daisy's mesh abomination the better.

And the shirts the men are wearing are the same as the last so many years I've lost count. Plus only putting one of them in white tie makes the whole line-up shot look ridiculous.
