Since everything they say about their so-called romance sounds like it was torn out of a cheap romance novel, is it all in fact a performance they are putting on for the cameras (with lots of nice pre-packaged and rehearsed bits they're spitting out). Note we get this silly sh*** most often when it's just the two of them and the camera (which to me is suspicious in of itself).

Of course. They are playing roles

Stevie is the nice guy who talks to everyone and makes things ok

Chloe is playing the marilyn monroe part where she hasn't got a clue what is going on around her and occasionally comes out with dumb remarks but brings herself down to earth by adding an insecure and sensitive edge to her performance just so the public can care for her.

That does all seem part of it too, but I also LITERALLY mean those hokey ridiculous speeches they give to each other about "I could see how lonely you were" and the like.

I mean it's hard enough believing anyone in the real world ever talks like that, but if they did isn't it a little suspicious that they saved it up for when they were on Big Brother?

All descriptions of reality are temporary hypotheses.

Rubbish. I think they are genuinely into each other. Playing the MM card is silly, just based on appearences. IMHO Chloe is far mor comfortable in the relationship than Steve & he id soooo into it.

The two situations aren't mutually exclusive. It's possible they ARE in a relationship (although I am skeptical) but still came on this show loaded for bear with tons of pre-rehearsed flowery love speeches they planned to make to each other in the garden or the bedroom alone or wherever.

Why? To get camera time and buzz for their careers post-show.

If I recall correctly Chloe Jasmine's Mum was on a programme with her. (Think it was about spending money). Anyway she did not speak like CJ and seemed quite down to earth. Therefore imo the girl is one big act, the way she speaks being put on etc

As much as I'd like to believe it to be true (I'm a hopeless romantic) I don't think it is.

They over play everything about their relationship which 'for me' does make it so unbelievable.

I cant tell if I'm honest. I was at the X factor auditions last summer and I actually met Chloe afterwards and had a long chat about her performance. She was almost exactly how you see her on TV however she seemed a lot more fun than she is coming across at the moment. I hope she stays in

I find them quite likeable and inoffensive.do I think its for real ? No.ive seen far worse fauxmances on bb down the years though.its not as toe curling as watching st pete and nikki graham chewing each others faces off .their pretty low key I just dont get any spark about them.they come across more like brother and sister .

The evil part of me wish they were 2 HM's so one could be voted off. They are a nice couple but not a fan of putting a couple in for a showmance.

My theory is they had a brief fling at the time of the X Factor, have long since split up and are now faking a relationship for the fame opportunities.

Again, the relationship can have been real (or even still be real) and the moopsy whoopsie lovey talk we see whenever they're conveniently alone still be fake and part of some awful (but apparently EFFECTIVE--since it's being filmed and broadcast) strategy to get screentime.

To me faking those conversations counts as a performance every bit as much as if they were faking the whole romance.

Well known to UK reality watching audiences but fairly useless in any real world way. Stevi was a talentless singing act kept on TV as a joke (like American idols old standbye Sanjaya) and Chloe is a reality show hopper who with her fake accent has been on three or four different shows now.

Actually to be fair Chloe was at least a decent model on the modeling show she was on, even if she apparently cared more about using her fake posh voice to be infamous. And on the singing show had a surprisingly great voice (unlike Stevi). Her problem is mostly that she's just a professional fake/shockingly overt publicity whore).

They are a couple and normally they are great fun .
Ithink the situation and people are playing havoc with their emotions.

As for Chloes voice its well documented that she had speech therapy for a lisp.

Shes spoken that way since she was 13 which is actually the way the majority of people speak from her school .
If you are boarding with a group of girls who speak -posh it tends to make you even posher .
For example my children who went to the same school as chloe speak very nicely ,some would say posh

Idont speak posh at all never quite lost the northern twang .

They are not performing some people are just that way .

Where on earth is the more grounded, bit of both option?

'cos it's quite probably a bit of both. I'm sure she likes him and the fact she's always touching him speaks volumes; I'm just not sure she's really all that into marrying him.

Well she certainly didn't speak that way on a documentary she did a few years back before X Factor!! She didn't speak that way the first time she auditioned for X Factor in 2006 either!
